Caleb Williams is highly projected to be the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

There haven’t been many times in the NFL when a player’s sexual orientation is questioned, especially before even making the draft. But it happened with USC star Caleb Williams after a clip from the Knicks-Pistons game went viral, where he can be seen showing off some groovy dance moves.

It hadn’t been long since the young quarterback was being labeled as a ‘red flag’ for his bold pre-draft decisions. And now, fans are upset about him using excessive pink color. It appears regardless of what Williams does, it would be followed by criticisms from the fans.

Williams is highly projected to be the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft and with such hype surrounding his NFL career, netizens didn’t seem to handle it well when he broke the stereotype at a women’s basketball game, carrying a pink iPhone, pink wallet, pink nails, and chapped pink lips.

However, the 22-year-old eventually hinted the reason behind his new look by reposting a tweet shared by the NCAA March Madness with the caption, “Vibes onlyyyyy supporting our girls.” But that hardly convinced the social media of anything.

Meanwhile, the team Williams went down to support, USC led by JuJu Watkins dominated the basketball court, resulting in a 73-55 victory against Kansas. With this nominal victory, they also secured a spot in the Sweet 16.

The 2024 NFL Draft is just a few weeks away and with the date approaching soon, the anticipations appear more vivid. Especially as fans eager to know if the predictions of Williams being the No. 1 pick are true, given his controversial pre-draft moves. Williams, on many occasions, has made it clear that he isn’t looking at a plan B, as he knows the Chicago Bears would draft him without a doubt.

But, his recent avatar at the Knicks-Pistons game sparked more controversies about his obsession with the pink color. One fan wrote, “Dudes straight as a circle,” while another wrote, “Am I tripping or his lips and nails AREN’T pink/painted.” Here are some of the fan reactions:

After this, some on social media are even questioning the quarterback’s credibility to lead a team of men, given he’s projected to be the starting QB at Chicago. Whether the franchise would reconsider their decision about Williams or not is yet to be seen in the upcoming draft. Until then, all anyone can say is someone’s preference for a certain color at a certain game doesn’t speak for his abilities on the football field.
