Eminem was kind enough to agree to take a photo with Salma Hayek despite their disastrous encounter. The reason is revealed

Salma Hayek was overly excited to meet Eminem, and the outcome was completely embarrassing for both stars.

Eminem shocked everyone at the Oscars, and that included Salma Hayek who is a big fan of the artist. Hayek felt the pressure of meeting Eminem behind the scenes, and it would lead to an embarrassing interaction between the two stars. We’re going to take a closer look at how it all went down, and why Eminem was totally okay with what went down.

In addition, we’ll reveal other embarrassing moments that both Hayek and Eminem went through over the course of their careers.

It Wasn’t The First Time Salma Hayek Embarrassed Herself In Front Of A Celebrity

Credit to Salma Hayek who is extremely open and honest about her downfalls on and off set. The actress isn’t afraid to poke fun at herself, at the held true on various instances. One in particular took place recently during the film, Magic Mike’s Last Dance. Shooting a scene alongside Channing Tatum, Hayek underwent a very unfortunate incident, and an embarrassing one to say the least.

The actress revealed, “You know, this one part that’s not in it where I’m upside down, and my legs had to be somewhere. But upside down, one loses sense of direction, and I didn’t do what I was supposed to do, so in the rehearsal, I went like, head down, almost hit my head.”

Tatum went in for the save trying to grab Hayek’s pants, but the actress couldn’t remember is she was wearing anything underneath…

“[Tatum] held on to my pants, but I was really concerned because my pants were going away, and I couldn’t remember if I had underwear or not in this moment. So, instead of putting my hands to protect my head, I just held onto the pants. He’s like, ‘Put your hands up,’ and I’m like, ‘No, no, no, no.’”

A tough moment for Hayek but in truth, her candid moment meeting Eminem might’ve been worse…

Salma Hayek Couldn’t Contain Her Excitement Meeting Eminem And Spit Water In His Face

Eminem pulled off a huge shock at the Oscars, performing in what was a memorable experience for the fans, peers, and Eminem himself. Hayek in particular is a huge fan of Eminem, and couldn’t believe she was able to meet the artist behind the scenes at the show. Hayek became very nervous at the thought, and ultimately, the encounter didn’t go as she would’ve liked…

Hayek shared a photo with Eminem showing the two smiling. However, Hayek stated that the reality was very different.

“In these pictures it might look like @Eminem and I are best friends, but what really happened is as he was walking offstage and I was getting ready to walk onstage, I was so shocked to see him that I spilled water all over him. If you examine our faces, I look mortified and he looks terrified of me.”

She continues in her IG post, “As I was trying to wipe it off I impulsively hugged him and I said “Nice to meet you Eminem- I’m a HUGE fan!” because I AM! But I was so disappointed that I made such a fool of myself in front of him… and then I read this [swipe right] in @rollingstone. Eminem you’re the greatest!!!”

Spitting on Eminem definitely wasn’t what Hayek had in mind… Nonetheless, Eminem wasn’t bothered by the moment, and he revealed in another interview to be content about meeting the iconic actress.

Eminem Had Awkward Moments Of His Own With Major Celebs, Including Michael Jordan

That’s right, Eminem himself also had awkward experiences with his peers, and in this case, he was on the wrong end of it alongside Michael Jordan. It seems like Em’s trash talk with MJ went way too far, and the rapper realized he wasted his conversation with the legend.

“We were talking about doing some kind of shoe together… Everything was cool, he’s super cool, and everything was good until we get to the end of the phone call and I said, ‘Yo man when are you gonna come to Detroit so I can dunk on you.’ And it was crickets,” Eminem explained.

“I don’t remember exactly what he said, but I think he just kinda like, just laughed and I remember getting off the phone going, ‘Oh my god I think I might have just blew it.’”

In Eminem’s defense, he thought it was clear to MJ that it was a joke.

“Because to me in my head it was a total joke, right?” Eminem continued. “It’s so ridiculous for me to think that I could dunk Jordan, right. So in my head, it’s one of those things that you think is gonna be funnier than when you actually say it. So I don’t know what happened after that.”

Nonetheless, Em states that things were never the same between the two after the moment…
