Emmanuel Acho goes against the notion by BOLDLY claiming that Dak Prescott will have the ‘best season of his career’

Dak Prescott had a disastrous season last year with the Cowboys and will hope to make a big r

The Dallas Cowboys are coming off the back of yet another unsuccessful campaign in the 2022/23 season, as they suffered a heartbreaking defeat against the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round playoff game. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott failed to inspire their offense in that particular game, and it became a season of so near yet so far for them yet again.

Since that defeat there were multiple calls to get rid of both Prescott and head coach Mike McCarthy, but owner Jerry Jones has put his faith behind the struggling duo to come up with the goods in the upcoming 2023/24 season. Prescott in particular came under severe criticism for underperforming, as he ended the season with a total of 15 interceptions, the most he has had in his career and it was also the highest in the NFL last year.

eturn in the upcoming season.

The number of interceptions thrown by Prescott was unusually high last season, especially if one considers his past record. The 29-year-old has always been known to be meticulous with his passing which has also been one of his strengths throughout his career in the NFL.

While many have turned against him, there still remain a few who believe in his potential and that he would be able to turn things around cometh the next season. This includes former NFL linebacker turned analyst, Emmanuel Acho who predicted that the quarterback will have his career-best season with the Cowboys in 2023/24.

Speaking on the “Speak” show, Acho claimed that Prescott will break the 5000 yards barrier this year, especially due to the amount of quality the Cowboys have in their offensive line. Acho named the likes of CeeDee Lamb, Tony Pollard and newly signed wide receiver, Brandin Cooks to transform the Cowboys’ offense into one of the best next season.

“Call me crazy, but I think Dak Prescott will have the best year of his career this year,” Acho said on FS1’s Speak. “Dak Prescott has never thrown for 5,000 yards, I think he will eclipse that this year. I think about the explosion of the Cowboys’ offense. This is the most explosive offense Dak Prescott has ever had …

“A burner and touchdown machine CeeDee Lamb, a burner in Brandin Cooks, a touchdown machine and home run threat at running back (in Tony Pollard). … I think Dak Prescott has the best season of his career.”

To be fair to Dak Prescott, the quarterback did not have the best of luck last season, suffering a thumb injury in Week-1 that kept him out of action until their game against the Detroit Lions in Week 7. The injury could have also played a part in his performances last season, and he will want to return to his best form hoping to fulfil all of Acho’s predictions.
