Skip Bayless says Jerry Jones has left him with only one option, to pick a new favorite team.

After the Dallas Cowboys‘ Super Bowl dream was crushed when they got eliminated from the playoffs, all the fans cared about was the next step of owner Jerry Jones, amidst the departure rumors of head coach Mike McCarthy. However, as Jones refused to address the matter, it angered the fans, especially Skip Bayless.

With a 12-5 regular season record and the NFC East divisional title, fans had high hopes for Dak Prescott-led Cowboys to end their 28 years of playoff drought. The second-seeded team also had a home-field advantage in that game, where they had an 8-0 record.

However, things went totally sideways for the team as they stepped onto the football field. Taking advantage of that scenario, the Green Bay Packers dominated the Cowboys, leading to an eventual victory of 48-32.

Seeing his team fail at this crucial stage, sports columnist and commentator Bayless was totally disappointed. He also shared a video of himself throwing Cowboys jerseys in his trash can, on his social media.

Bayless asserted on a recent episode of Undisputed:

Jerry Jones, as always, is approaching this with supreme egomania unearned. I’m gonna remind everybody, first of all, this is why you can watch me and my video on Sunday night throwing all of my Cowboys gear into my trashcan. Because I was done with them. I’m done with Jerry Jones.

Skip Bayless said

Bayless called himself an “imprisoner” of Dallas’ owner. The Cowboys fanatic explained:

I can’t vote him out of office. He is not going to fire himself as the owner and operator of the football team, obviously. So he owns me. He owns my bragging rights, which are years after years of gagging rights.

Skip Bayless addedHe also highlighted how all this has left him with one choice — pick a new favorite team. But that too isn’t easy for him, as since the age of 10 years, Bayless “lived and died” for the Cowboys in ways that the owner himself hasn’t, as he concluded.

Cowboys fans demand Dan Quinn’s head alongside Mike McCarthy

After the disastrous postseason this year, it would be a risky decision for the Cowboys to move forward with McCarthy as the head coach. Another name has been added to the list below McCarthy– Dan Quinn, the defensive coordinator of Dallas.

The reason why fans demand Quinn’s head after McCarthy’s is because they allowed a team (Green Bay Packers) which averaged at 22.5 points in the regular season, to score 48 points in the wild-card game. Not just that, quarterback Jordan Love recorded a perfect passer rating in his NFL debut season.

And if the Cowboys move forward with this decision, other teams who have been considering Quinn’s name for the head coach position may also reconsider their decision.
