“He’s doing everything well enough to win a Super Bowl!” Ex-Cowboys SB champion Danny White defends Dak Prescott despite consistent playoff woes

Dak Prescott suffered major criticism after the loss against the Green Bay Packers.

The Dallas Cowboys had another frustrating playoff loss in the 2023-24 season. Despite performing well in the regular season, the team choked against the Green Bay Packers in what was a must-win game for them.

After the loss, Dak Prescott, the quarterback of the team was subjected to heavy criticism. The QB suffered major heat after he threw two interceptions against the Packers. One of them was returned to a Pick Six by the Packers and that cost the team a lot.

Prescott was at his best in the regular season. For the first time in his eight-year-long career, the QB had a near-MVP run. Nonetheless, his heroics in the regular season faded in the postseason run as he failed to give the team the momentum that was needed.

Despite the failure, the quarterback enjoyed good support from his head coach and owner. Now, he has received support from the team’s former players. Danny White, the former Cowboys quarterback, did not lose trust in the QB. Despite multiple failures, he stood by the side of the quarterback by defending him amid all criticisms. The former QB who won a Super Bowl with the team claimed that Prescott has been doing everything for his team except delivering the playoff success.

The former quarterback added, speaking to the reporters, via Fanatics View:

Just keep doing what he is doing. He is in the position where he will be questioned. Everybody else is questioning him. From the coaches to the media, fans, everybody will question him. It will be gonna really easy for him to think what he wants to change. He had an unbelievable season.

Danny White said

Danny White seemed skeptical about blaming the quarterback

Amid all these criticisms, White seemed skeptical about blaming it all on Dak Prescott. He felt that it was easy to put all the blame on the shoulders of the quarterback. He said that the Cowboys need to find the real reasons behind the losses and not take the easy path of blaming the quarterback.

Pointing at the numbers that Prescott achieved in the season, the former player claimed:

Dak’s doing everything well enough to win a Super Bowl. I think everyone else around him you can’t say this.
