Baker Mayfield hints at his return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Josh Allen, the Bills’ quarterback, openly praised Baker Mayfield. Mayfield is in the limelight after a brilliant regular season followed by two good postseason games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The quarterback who was subjected to criticism ahead of the 2023-24 season, received high appreciation from the fans. He also impressed the analysts as well as some of the players. Josh Allen is one of them.

In one of the episodes of the show Speak, Josh Allen was asked who has the biggest arm in the NFL. He was told to answer the question without any hesitation. Allen named Mayfield, who had a great season with the Bucs.

Allen said:

You know who has a sneaky big arm? It's Bake. Baker Mayfield's got a cannon and I don't think he gets enough credit for it. I am serious.

The panel burst into laughter after hearing the answer from the quarterback.

Mayfield did something amazing in the 2023-24 season. Despite a sluggish start, Mayfield quickly turned the tables upside down. He led the Bucs to the playoffs and his best came against the Philadelphia Eagles. The quarterback became the second Bucs quarterback after Tom Brady by throwing over 300 yards in a playoff game. Even though his team lost in the Divisional game, the quarterback registered three touchdowns. Though the quarterback was subjected to two interceptions, his performance earned him a lot of fans.

Baker Mayfield hints at a Bucs return

Despite all the odds, Baker Mayfield hinted at a return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There were some uncertainties regarding his renewal due to the departure of their OC Dave Canales. Mayfield said he was waiting for the team to hire a new OC before signing a deal.

Since the team is already done with signing an OC, Mayfield in the Up and Adams show hinted at a return to the team in the next season. The quarterback added that he strives to win and money is only secondary for him.
