“I don’t accept mediocrity!” Deion Sanders ‘sick’ of the way Colorado is playing despite registering an important win against Arizona State

Coach Prime did not hide his frustration over the performance of his team.

The Colorado Buffaloes registered a much-needed win against the Arizona State Sun Devils in week six of college football. It was a much-needed victory as the Buffaloes lost back-to-back games in week four and week five. Questions were circling in the air, and in that scenario, the team had to register a victory.

The victory came, however, in a hard-fought way. The Buffaloes had to put everything at stake to win the game. It was Alejandro Mata who scored a brilliant field goal at the dying moment of the game and secured the victory. It was a high-intensity game that witnessed a lot of moments from both teams and, at the end, Mata scored a field goal and ensured the victory in the close encounter.

Later, Coach Prime Deion Sanders did not hide his agony over the performance of his team. Usually, he is a coach who always backs his players. He praised the players multiple times, however; he was a bit different in the post-match presentation this time around as he criticized the team’s gameplay.

Wonderful win,” the coach said. He further added, “We played like hot garbage.”

He did not stop there. Criticizing his team further, he added, “I’m sorry, I’m happy about the win but I’m not happy in the fashion that we won it in. We’re better than that. We really are better than that. And we’ve got to start showing that. I expect to win and I expect to win in a better fashion than that.”

“I’m sick of these consistent holes that we’re displaying and the penalties and the things that we’re doing. We’re so much better. I apologize for my anger today, but I don’t accept mediocrity. Maybe you do, maybe you can live with it. Maybe you sleep with it. Maybe you live with it. Maybe you’re comfortable with it, but I’m not,” Sanders declared.

The Buffaloes are generating a lot of hope

The Colorado Buffaloes are generating a lot of hope among the fans. Last season, the team lost 11 matches and won just one. They had a horrible record of 1-11. After that performance, the Buffaloes sacked their head coach and appointed Coach Prime as the head coach.
