Josh Allen strives in desperation to beat the Chiefs in the playoffs.

The NFL world is gearing up for the mouthwatering battle between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. Prior to this, both teams faced each other twice in the playoffs in the 2020 and 2021 seasons. In both encounters, the Chiefs emerged victorious.

But this game seems to be different as the Chiefs will be on the road for the first time in the playoffs. This is what the Bills are relying on. Ahead of the game, the Bills QB Josh Allen opened up regarding the possible encounter. Despite acknowledging that the Chiefs have always got the best out of them, Allen seemed assured about the ‘home game’ factor.

Allen said, addressing the reporters:

They’ve gotten the best of us in the playoffs the last few years. We finally got a home game, and we’ve got to go out there and put our best foot forward and play as best as we can play

Josh Allen saidThe Bills know pretty well that they have a mammoth task to overcome. The record of Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs is more than outstanding. To date, he has lost only two games in the playoffs. He has an invincible record in the Divisional round. If the Bills have to win then they have to turn the table upside down.

This is the best time, the Bills can beat the Chiefs. They are on a six-game winning streak and have lately found their form in the latter part of the league. On the other hand, the Chiefs are going through a tumultuous situation with the offense having struggled in the regular season. However, they have an exceptionally good defense, taking a toll on opponents.

Josh Allen has a mixed record against the Chiefs

Josh Allen has faced the Chiefs a total of six times in his career. Four times in the regular season and two times in the playoffs, He had two playoff losses. In the regular season, Allen has a great record against the Chiefs. He has a 3-0 record in Kansas City while a 0-1 in Buffalo. He knows that home advantage is not something he can rely on completely.

Allen has done a stellar job this season. He has more than 40 touchdowns (combined – passing and rushing) in the league. His interceptions and turnover rates have also been top-tier.

Despite performing well in the regular season, the quarterback knows very well that he has to provide in the playoffs. Allen said:

The familiarity we have, and they have with us, I know we’ve traded a couple of times in the regular season, but we’ve yet to beat them in the postseason. This is a team that plays their best when they’re asked to, and we’ve got to find a way to like I said, put our best foot forward and execute our game plan.
