“I’ve seen enough!” Skip Bayless wants the Raiders to ‘officially’ make Antonio Pierce the head coach

The analyst is in awe of the impact Antonio Pierce has had on the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Las Vegas Raiders have turned their fortunes around mid-season. It has been 3 games since Josh McDaniels was fired as the HC of the team and Antonio Pierce has taken over his role for the remainder of the season. In the 4 games that he has led the team, the team has gone 2-2 and there is a renewed sense of energy amongst the players.

Despite losing their last matchup to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Raiders did put up a fight. The team got off to a rolling start as they were 14-0 to kick things off. Skip Bayless, FOX Sports analyst, is in awe of Antonio Pierce and wants Mark Davis to make his appointment as the HC official.

I have seen enough, make him official, do it now. Give him the chance to build that team knowing he is in charge of that team going forward.

The analyst went on to credit Aidan O’Connell, the rookie QB, for his performance so far.

That young quarterback did impress me yesterday...when the smoke cleared, I'm looking at all the QBRs as it's my favorite QB stat.

Skip Bayless could not help but be impressed when he saw that Aidan O’Connell had a better QBR than Patrick Mahomes at the end of the night. O’Connell had a 90.4 QBR while Mahomes had a rating of 80.3.

Skip Bayless credited Aidan O’Connell for outplaying Patrick Mahomes

Bayless is thoroughly impressed that Aidan O’Connell “outplayed him by 10 points” and while Patrick Mahomes ended up doing what he always does by coming back from a deficit to win games, it was ultimately the fight that the Raiders showed through the entire night.

Josh Jacobs has also begun to play the best football of his life. He had a mind-boggling 63-yard touchdown run against the Chiefs where he landed a vicious stiff arm on one of the team’s safeties.

Mark Davis has to make it permanent with Antonio Pierce, two years ago, when Rich Bisaccia managed to take the Raiders to the playoffs, but despite his performance, the team decided to part ways with him and instead hire Josh McDaniels as the HC. This time, Davis himself is thoroughly impressed with what he has been seeing.

He has to have noticed the energy shift in the building, players are excited to play, players respect him, and are willing to give their everything to him. It will be interesting to see how the Raiders manage to finish off the rest of their season and if Pierce will return next season or not.
