Recently, speculations about a romantic relationship between Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce and global pop sensation Taylor Swift have taken the media and fans by storm.
However, it’s essential to note that neither Travis Kelce nor Taylor Swift’s representatives have officially confirmed or denied these rumors.
The intrigue surrounding this rumored relationship reached a new level when Travis Kelce’s brother and Philadelphia Eagles football center, Jason Kelce, made a guest appearance on a sports radio talk show on Wednesday.
When asked about the alleged romance between his brother and Taylor Swift, Jason’s response added fuel to the fire.
“It’s hard to answer because I don’t really know a lot about Travis’ love life,” Jason told the radio hosts. “I try to keep his business kind of his business, stay out of that world.” But then, he dropped a bombshell, saying, “Having said that, man, I think they’re doing great and I think it’s all 100% true, and I hope this thing goes a mile — no, I’m joking, I don’t know what’s happening.”
Naturally, the media and social media platforms seized upon the “100 percent true” comment while overlooking the jest that followed.
Once the half-quoted news hit the internet, it set off a frenzy of discussion.
Jason Kelce found himself in the hot seat for the first time during a postgame show when the Philadelphia Eagles played on “Thursday Night Football” last week.
Tony Gonzalez asked Jason about his brother’s rumored relationship.
“I’ve seen these rumors, I cannot comment,” Jason said. “I don’t really know what’s going on there. I know Trav is having fun, and we’ll see what happens with whoever he ends up with.”
It all started when Travis Kelce himself shared a little insight into his interest in Taylor Swift earlier this summer.
He recounted an attempt to give Taylor his number at one of her “Eras Tour” concerts.
“So, I was a little butthurt that I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” Kelce revealed on his “New Heights” podcast this summer. “She doesn’t meet anybody — or at least she didn’t want to meet me. So, I took it personal.”
Taylor Swift and Sophie Turner were recently spotted enjoying dinner together in New York City.
Interestingly, both have had past romantic connections with Joe Jonas.
Taylor and Joe had a brief affair in 2008 while Sophie was married to him for four years!
