Jerry Jones AFFIRMS that Dak Prescott is the quarterback who can take the Cowboys to the Super Bowl despite ‘horrific’ outing against the 49ers

Dak Prescott was drafted by the Cowboys in 2016.

The Dallas Cowboys traveled to San Francisco to take on the 49ers on their home turf. It was a highly anticipated matchup between two of the best teams in the NFC. However, the Cowboys were blown away by the Niners as they lost the game by 32 points. Cowboys’ QB Dak Prescott had a poor game, throwing three interceptions and only one touchdown.

The defeat resulted in a lot of criticism for Prescott. Although he has had a good start to the season, Prescott’s performance against the Niners raised a lot of questions about the quarterback position in Dallas. However, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has complete faith in Prescott as he feels like they have the right QB to win the Super Bowl.

“I completely believe we have the quarterback that can take us where we want to go,” Jones said 105.3 The Fan. “Make no mistake about it, we have a quarterback that can get us there. Dak Prescott is a quarterback that can get us to the Super Bowl. And that’s the way that’s going to be.” Prescott has been the starting quarterback for the Cowboys since 2016 but has failed to lead the Cowboys to a Super Bowl.

The Cowboys will hope that Prescott pays off the trust by leading them on a deep playoff run. They will need to bounce back from their loss against the Niners. They will play the Los Angeles Chargers in their next game on Monday Night Football.

Jerry Jones had high praise for Brock Purdy before their game in week 5

The Dallas Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones praised the San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy before their game last Sunday. He adores the ability of Purdy to avoid sacks and make the right play almost every time. Jones spoke to NBC Sports Bay Area before the much-awaited game.

“By the way, [Purdy] doesn’t make the bad plays. That I see vividly.” Jones said. “He does not make the bad plays, generally. And you can win so many football games if you don’t give it to them.” Purdy had his best game against the Cowboys on Sunday, throwing for 252 yards and four touchdowns enroute to a dominant 42-10 win.

The Cowboys are 3-2 through five weeks, whereas the Niners are unbeaten heading into next week. The Cowboys will play the Los Angeles Chargers in LA in their next game. The Niners will take on the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
