Jerry Jones puts his ‘strong’ trust in Dak Prescott despite Cowboys’ loss to the Eagles

The owner believes if his quarterback continues to play like this, the team is bound to reach the Super Bowl.

In Dak we trust! That has been and will continue to be the phrase that Jerry Jones has been urging Dallas Cowboys‘ fans to chant on their rosary. The recent matchup between America’s team and the Philadelphia Eagles was a significant one as it determined which team is the true king of not just the NFC East but the entire conference.

While the Cowboys lost by 5 points to the Eagles, Dak Prescott had a lights-out performance as he threw for 374 yards and had 3 touchdowns. He outplayed Jalen Hurts who threw for 207 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jerry Jones, the owner and GM of the Cowboys is optimistic about his quarterback following the team’s loss on Sunday night.

To him, the Cowboys may have lost the battle but in the bigger picture, the team won the war. Jones said via 105.3 The Fan, that his quarterback’s 374-yard game with a side of 3 TDs is exactly what the team needs. He said:

If Dak can have those kinds of games, we can go where we want to be this year.

Jerry Jones has full faith in Dak Prescott to lead the Cowboys to the Super Bowl

There is only one place wherein America’s team wants to be, the one place they have been attempting to get back to since 1997, the Super Bowl. Jerry Jones is of the opinion that if his quarterback continues to play and put up numbers every week like he did on Sunday night, nothing can stop the Cowboys from reaching the Super Bowl.

Dallas played good football on Sunday, however, the issue with the team is their performance during crunch time. In critical moments, Dak and the offense tend to crumble, which is exactly what happened as the team’s offensive execution in the final moments of the game against the Eagles was not satisfactory.

However, if the team is able to just overcome this minor hump, they do stand a legitimate chance to make the Super Bowl as they have a great defense and a well-balanced offence.
