Jerry Rice’s son Brenden Rice admits it’d be ‘amazing’ to play with Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb at the Cowboys

The San Francisco 49ers are also reportedly interested in Jerry Rice’s son.

Brenden Rice, the son of legendary wide receiver Jerry Rice, gave his flowers recently to the Dallas Cowboys franchise. In the NFL Scouting Combine presser, the former teammate of Caleb Williams, the WR claimed that the Dallas-based franchise is great with players like Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb.

Rice Jr. also praised their veteran owner and general manager Jerry Jones. He said:

The franchise is great. CeeDee Lamb, a great generational receiver, and Dak Prescott. And Jerry Jones, man..he is gonna get it right..And I..Just to be part of that organization would be amazing.

The NFL Scouting Combine event in Indianapolis was full of fun and laughter. He and Caleb Williams were seen joking with each other. It was started by Williams, who jokingly asked,

Hey! How does it feel to be Jerry Rice’s son? 

Answering this, the WR said,

Man, it feels even better to be a teammate with Caleb Williams.

Williams did not stop at that. He further asked the wide receiver why an NFL team should scout the receiver. Inculcating a journalist, the quarterback asked,

Now, why should I draft you as a fantasy player? Should you be a wide receiver one? Should you be the flex player?

Answering this, Rice said he should be hired as a receiver.

Will the 49ers be tempted to recreate memories with another Rice?

In the NFL Scouting Combine, Brenden Rice was seen talking to the San Francisco 49ers camp as well. The team where his father played and helped them to win three Super Bowl titles. His father’s efforts also helped the team to get a global identity.

The conversation with the college WR came amid the controversy regarding the 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. Aiyuk is reportedly unhappy with the team as he received just three catches in the recent Super Bowl game. From his girlfriend to multiple other people having close associations with the WR, they all hinted at the departure of the WR.

Nevertheless, Rice was seen excited after having a conversation with the 49ers. Rice, on the possibility of joining 49ers camp, shared in the presser,

It’s super dynamic—You have a whole lot of threats over there. And just to be a part of that offense to know that I’m going with guys who are Pro Bowlers and some who may be future Hall of Famers as well as Brock Purdy, who’s from my home of Chandler, Arizona, it’s a nostalgic moment.

Since the offseason is long, eyes will be on the development of the 49ers. It is to be seen, whether they decide to trade someone like Aiyuk and go for drafting Brenden Rice.
