“Just play football and win!” Keyshawn Johnson has a piece of ‘blunt’ advice for Micah Parsons after he criticized the media

Keyshawn Johnson of Undisputed has a piece of advice for Micah Parsons: do not care about what the media has to say.

Micah Parsons, the linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys has been in the limelight recently for his comments stating that he was sick and tired of the hate that Dak Prescott was receiving, he was also not a fan of the fact that the media appears to be more enthusiastic to bring the Cowboys down but if it is another team, say the Philadelphia Eagles, then they do not really criticize them on the same level. Here’s what Micah Parsons originally had to say.

Following these comments, the media responded to the statements made by Parsons. Keyshawn Johnson, the newest addition to Undisputed on FS1 called out the linebacker for focusing more on what the media had to say rather than focusing on playing football.

Here’s what KJ had to say, “I don’t think Micah should be worried about what people would say. Especially people who would be considered ‘media’ types….that’s the way I would approach it…First of all, you are on your way to becoming the highest-paid at your position in the history of the NFL.

Keyshawn Johnson believes Micah Parsons should not care about the media’s opinion

Johnson believes Micah, as an athlete should just care about the game and play his best, the media will talk and in the new age, wherein there exist so many individuals and talk show hosts who also consider themselves to be part of the media, his last priority should be lashing out at the media and calling them out on such issues. Keyshawn also believes that the reason that the Dallas Cowboys get so much hate and criticism is due to the fact that they are known as America’s team.

“You are on America’s team, there are eyeballs that are watching you in the star every single Sunday, every single Thursday night you are onevery single Monday night you are on…Win or lose, you are America’s team…When you are getting…beat by a team that won one game and then you go off and beat a bad team in the New England Patriots, then you go to San Francisco and get run your shop run on you to a whole another level, people are going to have things to say.”

Johnson is alluding to the fact that the hype train behind the Dallas Cowboys gets them all that attention, the fans of the team swear by them and whenever they win a game, no matter how bad their opponent is, Cowboys fans will find a way to celebrate it and make a big deal out of it.

However, when they go up against a good team and lose by double-digit points and get called out by the media for it, their fans, and now even Parsons take the stance that the Cowboys are being targeted more for their losses. Johnson went on to add, “Philadelphia gets the benefit of the doubt, San Francisco 49ers get the benefit of the doubt because their fanbase isn’t obnoxious to people on a constant basis…so you cannot get mad.”

The analyst concludes by stating, “People that talk about this stuff for a living like us, all we doing is reporting what we see, you’re not a very good football team in certain situations. Although you’re 4-2, don’t worry about what we’re up here talking about. Just go play football, go win, go them sacks, go get the things that had gotten you to be what you are and people talking about you the way that we are. It’s simple, it’s not that hard.”

Micah Parsons is going to be fighting a losing battle if he thinks that he can shut the media down by calling them out for their criticism of the Dallas Cowboys, the team has done pretty well this season, they are 4-2 but in the games that they have lost, they showed fans and opponents that when put in certain positions, they just cannot help but choke.
