Keyshawn Johnson claims Bears GM Ryan Poles will ‘fool everyone’ by sticking with Justin Fields instead of drafting Caleb Williams as No.1 pick

Chicago Bears have also added Jonathan Owens this season.

All eyes will be on the Chicago Bears in this NFL offseason. There are high hopes that the team might go for the former Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams. However, the deal is still uncertain. The present quarterback Justin Fields holds a lot of support inside the team. From the fans to the associates, Fields enjoys unprecedented popularity. Hence, the draft of the former college football star seems a bit uncertain.

In this context, Keyshawn Johnson made a surprising take on the Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles. In the latest episode of the show Undisputed, Johnson claimed that GM Poles would not go for Caleb Williams. Instead, he would stick to Justin Fields.

I think for some reasons, no matter what the noise and everything, I think Ryan Poles fools everybody and he will stick with Justin Fields in Chicago. I swear.

Keyshawn Johnson said

Now this triggers a pertinent question. A few days back, Ryan Poles made a statement on the future of Justin Fields. He noted that he would go for the trade of his present quarterback. So, in a way, the trade was announced. Skip Bayless asked him the same question. Johnson answered that despite announcing the trade, he has not yet made a move. It is difficult to predict the future of Justin Fields and Caleb Williams.

The Bears had a difficult last season. With just seven wins and 10 losses, they were last in their Division. To turn the table upside down, the Bears have already signed Jonathan Owens. The defender holds great statistics behind his name. It is to be seen whether the Bears go for Caleb Williams as well.

Bears president is a big supporter of Justin Fields

When uncertainty was looming over the situation of the quarterback Justin Fields, the President of the Chicago Bears showed his full support for him. In an interview with NBC Sports, Kevin Warren noted that he was a fan of the quarterback and he would love to see the QB back in the Bears colors.

Kevin Warren said:

I’m a supporter of Justin because I got a chance to work with him when I was Commissioner of the Big Ten conference. He is incredibly talented. He is smart. He works hard. And he wants to be a great NFL football player. And now he just needs to make sure he has the support around him. He’s working hard. I would love to see him this offseason and make sure he’s totally healthy going into the season next year, he noted.

Despite receiving the certificate from the President, the future of the quarterback is not secure. The President wants him but does the GM? The question persists.
