It has been a rough ride for Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. The team has a 10-6 record this season, losing 4 of their last 6 games. However, this bad stretch has not negatively impacted the team in clinching the AFC West for the eighth year in a row. Now, the team’s QB believes they can still make a Super Bowl run, but it will just not be an easy path.

Kind of the motto of this season at the end it's been a good game and a bad game. So, how can we sustain and get stuff going and continue to build off this momentum.
Now, you're in the playoffs. It's one game. Single elimination. I think we can go out there and compete.

The Chiefs’ offense has been the team’s primary issue as there has not been consistency this season. This can be attributed to an obvious lack of wide receivers to throw the ball to but even Mahomes has not played like his usual self this season as he has been taking a lot of unnecessary risks.

The Baltimore Ravens will be the biggest threat on the Chiefs’ path to the Super Bowl

With the Baltimore Ravens having the best record in the AFC, they have a home-field advantage for the playoffs. Lamar Jackson and Co will be the biggest challenge that Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will have to find an answer for. But the QB remains firm on his belief that there is still time and that the Chiefs can still turn things around.

I mean, we had to battle through adversity and find a way to win...but it's not over. We have to continue to get better and better. We understand that.

With that being said, the Chiefs’ are likely to give their starters two weeks off before the playoffs commence by resting them for the Week 18 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

That is a call for Andy Reid to make, but since the result of this game has no impact on the team’s position in the AFC, it would make most sense to give the starters some time off. The Chiefs will have to be consistent heading into the offseason as even a single loss would put a stop to their hopes of having a shot at winning back-to-back Super Bowls.
