Wright implied Mahomes already is a better post season quarterback compared to Aaron Rodgers even though the Jets QB has been part of the NFL far longer the Chiefs player.

Aaron Rodgers made some enemies when he allegedly picked a fight against his colleague Jimmy Kimmel, and Nick Wright is one of them. The Fox analyst went on a rant against the veteran quarterback and defended Kimmel in their war of attrition.

Wright’s latest post on social media appears to be another chapter in the feud. But instead of making any wild accusations against the New York Jets player, he chose to use a more mellowed-down approach. By now, any football fan who watches his FS1 show, First Things First, knows of his love for the Kansas City Chiefs and, more importantly, for quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

So when Mahomes led the Chiefs to a wild card win over the Miami Dolphins on Saturday night, Wright took a slight jab at Rodgers with a small comparison.

Mahomes finished the Dolphins game 23-41 for 262 yards and one touchdown. He now has 12 wins in six postseason campaigns with the Chiefs.

Aaron Rodgers vision for 2024

Unlike Patrick Mahomes, the 40-year-old wasn’t able to play more than just a single snap in the 2023 season after a serious Achilles tear ended his first year in the Big Apple in disappointment. That doesn’t mean Rodgers is only sitting inside his Cali home and focusing on rehab. No, as soon as he was allowed to move around a bit, he did not waste any time flying to Jersey and attending Jets team meetings.

Not only that, he frequently attended the games, sitting on the sidelines and listening to all the calls. But he failed to make any difference as the Jets season got derailed very early. They finished with just seven wins all season. To Aaron Rodgers, that is already in the past, and he is thinking about the future.

They do have a 10th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft in their pocket. It will not come as a surprise to many if they decide to get another quarterback.
