Patrick Mahomes surprises teammates with awesome Christmas present
Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay is officially jealous he’s not an offensive lineman, as Patrick Mahomes gifted those who block for him each a golf cart for Christmas.
The offensive line was seen driving their new vehicles around Arrowhead Stadium on Wednesday, with Gay in the passenger seat filming and talking about how envious he is.
‘What the hell imma get for Christmas?’ Gay asked from the golf cart. ‘… O-line living good man.’
‘Imma start getting some offensive plays and blocking and s***,’ Gay said.
What Mahomes purchased for Travis Kelce or his wide-receiving corps is unknown, but they’ll sure to be envious of the offensive line too.

‘The receivers got a lump of coal,’ one Chiefs fan on social media said.
Gay has spent his entire NFL career with the Chiefs after being drafted by the team in the second round of the 2020 draft.
Mahomes has been the team’s starting quarterback for all of Gay’s NFL tenure.
Gay has had a productive NFL career thus far, but has never played an offensive snap.
Before coming to the Chiefs, Gay was a standout linebacker at Mississippi State for three seasons.
Mahomes has had a down season by his standards, but the Chiefs offensive line has improved
Gay can be seen as a passenger as the Chiefs offensive line drives around in their golf carts
Gay recorded eight tackles in the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory over the Eagles in February.
The Chiefs are 9-5 this season and are on the cusp of securing a playoff berth for the ninth straight year, and fifth straight with Mahomes at quarterback.
We’ve seen several examples of quarterbacks buying their offensive line gifts at the end of the calendar year.
Last year, Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson bought his offensive linemen Louis Vuitton bags for Christmas.
Earlier this week, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence also gifted his offensive line a golf cart each.
The carts feature the number of each offensive lineman on each side, a nice touch to make it a more personalized gift.

Many of the offensive linemen are already putting these golf carts to work. Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay shared a hilarious video on Instagram while riding in one of the carts showing many of his teammates driving around the team facility.

It certainly makes sense for Mahomes to gift his offensive line something so luxerious, particularly because they have done such a good job of protecting Mahomes this season.
Of all starting quarterbacks in the NFL, only Josh Allen has been sacked less than Mahomes this season.
It certainly pays to be good at your job!
