“Pour honey on me!” Dak Prescott has a ‘gutsy’ response to Jerry Jones’ ‘don’t poke the bear’ reference ahead of the Eagles game

Dak Prescott finished the game with four touchdowns and one interception.

The Dallas Cowboys‘ dominant victory over the Los Angeles Rams has generated some odd soundbites. It was a complete performance from the Dallas-based team as they were clinical in all three departments. Their defense was on from the first snap and the offense sizzled throughout the game. Cowboys’ QB Dak Prescott had one of his best games of the season.

After the game, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones confirmed that this was, indeed, one of Prescott’s best performances for the Cowboys. He also had a very interesting take on the Cowboys’ next opponent, the Philadelphia Eagles. Jones carefully maneuvered around the Eagles’ question and stated that he didn’t want to ‘poke the bear.’

Prescott though, had no qualms in addressing that topic head on. He said:

Pour honey on me! I always say that. If you see me and a bear in a fight, pour honey on me. You can poke it, whether we talk or not, we know what’s ahead of us. (The Eagles are a ) great opponent.

That is a rather odd thing to say. The Cowboys will hope that Prescott backs it up against the Eagles because if he doesn’t, it’s going to get ugly very fast.

The Cowboys and the Eagles are two of the best teams in the NFC. The Eagles are 7-1 so far this season and have the best record in the league. Cowboys on the other hand are 5-2 as they have bounced back significantly after their week 5 drubbing by the hand of the San Francisco 49ers. Bring on Sunday!

Stephen A. Smith has rare praise for Dak Prescott for his performance against the Rams

ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith is not a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He has made that abundantly clear on many occasions. However, the Cowboys and especially their QB Dak Prescott produced a magnificent performance against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday and that has garnered some rare praise from Smith.

Smith was all praise for Prescott and said that the credit’s got to be given where it is due. He further added:

I’m not gonna sit up there and dog [Prescott] all 16 weeks—[even though] a vast majority of the time I have a reason to do so. Yesterday was not one of those times. He showed up on Sunday, but he usually shows up when they get off early, and he’s got a lead, a little cushion.

The Cowboys have won two games in a row after dropping their Week 5 game against the San Francisco 49ers. They will now head to Philadelphia to take on the Philadelphia Eagles next Sunday.
