Rob Gronkowski claims Cowboys are ‘not a mentally tough football team’ following humiliating loss to the Bills

Gronkowski questioned the Dallas Cowboys’ mental resolve after enduring the bizarre 31-10 loss against the Bills.

Week 15’s loss against the Buffalo Bills is turning into the biggest nightmare for the Dallas Cowboys this season. Just before the team was praised for having the best-scoring offense in the league, they are now being criticized by the very same people. And former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski explains why.

The Cowboys, who were leading the AFC East division with 10-3 standings, and its quarterback, Dak Prescott, with the best MVP odds, now seem to be depicting a blurred Super Bowl picture. The reason is that the Cowboys are not a mentally strong team, as the legendary tight end of his era, Gronkowski, believes.

In a recent appearance on the Fox Overtime show, Gronkowski questioned Dallas’ mental resolve after enduring the bizarre 31-10 loss against the Bills. He emphasized that the Cowboys failed in the crucial test that could have proved them as a worthy and strong team; instead, they lacked what it takes to build a strong football team.

When you’re a team and you can’t go on the road and win a big game in a hostile environment with weather that isn’t on, you know, on your side, isn’t in your favor,
it means you’re not mentally tough and the Dallas Cowboys are not a mentally tough football team. That being said it has been shown last year in the playoff.
It has been shown the year before in the playoffs.

argued Gronkowski

The former New England Patriots tight end highlighted how Dallas suffered a blowout loss against a good team such as the San Francisco 49ers in week 5. And once again, they proved it after being outperformed by the Josh Allen-led Bills in crazy weather.

Dak Prescott’s MVP odds drop after Cowboys’ loss to the Bills

Except for a close victory against a team with a winning record, the Philadelphia Eagles, in week 14, the Cowboys haven’t portrayed the best performances when it comes to facing a strong team. The same happened earlier with the 49ers, and the same happened this time with the Bills.

And due to the Cowboys’ inconsistency against the strong playoff contenders, quarterback Prescott’s MVP chances have come into jeopardy. He has already ranked below the 49ers’ quarterback, Brock Purdy, with +250 odds.

After this loss, their rival Eagles are again leading the NFC East division with increased chances of making it to the playoffs. As for the Cowboys, they have three more regular-season games remaining, and they cannot afford to make another big mistake.
