Rob Gronkowski rallies behind Deebo Samuel’s ‘bold’ claim of annihilating Cowboys once again as he labels 49ers the best team in the NFL

Gronkowski claims Cowboys wins came against teams who have been bad all season and when the real challenge came they messed up.

The Dallas Cowboys were one of the firm favorites to take the top seed in the NFC this season. But 5 weeks later, they stand with 3 wins and 2 defeats, not the outcome any Cowboy fans were hoping to find themselves this early. No wonder Rob Gronkowski claimed the Dallas franchise has managed to trick everyone into believing they are a Super Bowl-caliber side.

To add more weight to his argument, the former NFL tight end pointed out the 42-10 blowout against the San Francisco 49ers. According to Gronkowski, the Dallas Cowboys are more pretenders than contenders.

“I’m on Deebo’s [Samuel] side; they definitely don’t want to see the San Francisco 49ers again,” Gronkowski told Kay Adams in a recent segment of ‘Up and Adams.’ “Dallas Cowboys aren’t for real; they kind of tricked us this year.”

“They [the Cowboys] had three blowout wins already, but when you look back,” the 34-year-old added. “Their defense dominated three teams that have absolutely no offense right now.”

2023 kicked off for Dak Prescott and Co. with a dominating win over the New York Giants, followed by another against their Crosstown rivals, the New York Jets, who were missing Super Bowl winner Aaron Rodgers. Their third win came against the New England Patriots, who have been on a downward spiral for quite some time.

“That’s why they have tricked us, because those teams don’t even have offense,” Gronkowski said. His take comes after a splutter of Twitter wars or words between 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel and Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons, which reignited the age-old animosity between the two franchises.

The Dallas Cowboys have a rocky road ahead of them

As Rob Gronkowski emphasized, the Dallas Cowboys season has not panned out as most would have hoped. Definitely not for Skip Bayless, who threw a Prescott jersey into the trash in anger after the 49ers demolition last week.

The most surprising result happened in their third game against the Arizona Cardinals. However, the Rocky Mountain franchise had more passing yards on the day. They recorded more rushing yards (222 compared to Dallas’ 185) and gained more yards per play (7.5 over 5.5). Not only that, they were marginally efficient in converting 3rd downs.

That’s all done, dusted, and now in the NFL highlight reel. However, future fixtures will also ask significant questions from both the Cowboys’ defense and offense. Besides facing the Los Angeles Chargers next week, they will lock horns against the Philadelphia Eagles after that, who are one of the two teams that have yet to taste defeat (5-0). The Miami Dolphins, the Buffalo Bills, and the surprise package this season, the Detroit Lions, are waiting in the wings to take a shot at the ‘America’s Team.’
