Analyst Shannon Sharpe had a wild take on the Dallas Cowboys ahead of the crucial game against the Miami Dolphins. The veteran analyst compared the Cowboys with his ex-girlfriends. In the recent episode of the show, First Take, the analyst questioned the credibility of the team.

The analyst said:

I look at the Cowboys like one of my exes, they look good but I don’t trust them.

Sharpe’s comment was a nasty sarcasm aimed at Dak Prescott and his team. The Cowboys are presently having one of the finest records. They have won 10 and lost just four in their 14 games. The team has already secured a spot in the playoffs.

Despite all the accolades, two things are haunting the Cowboys. One is their inability to win away games. The team has a perfect home record of 7-0. However, they have struggled to make things in the away games. They have a poor 3-4 record on the road.

If not winning outside the home is the first problem then the second is related to consistency against the winning squads. The Cowboys faced teams with a winning record five times this season and have won just two. This is also a point of concern for them ahead of the game day against the Dolphins.

The game against the Dolphins will be a must-win for the Cowboys as they are striving for the No.1 spot in the NFC. In addition, they also want to be the champion of their division. Keeping all factors in mind, the team has to win the game at any cost. Otherwise, the NFC battle might become daunting.

Dak Prescott has a plan for the Dolphins

If anyone understands the importance of the game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Miami Dolphins, it has to be Dak Prescott. His motto was simple for the season; write off the chokers’ tag from the name of the Cowboys. And he does not want to give away at the last moment.

The Cowboys’ star hence revealed a plan. He wants to score early so that the defense gets enough time to protect the lead. He wants to take charge early.

Addressing the reporters, Prescott said:

Just looking over the course of the season, I think for one, it gives our defense a great amount of confidence when we score early.
They take the field, get to play with the lead or whether it's a 0-0 type game because the game's tied whatever it is, I just think that group plays hungry.

The Cowboys have scored first in most of the games they have won this season. They will look to add another to the tally.
