Stephen A. Smith predicts Cowboys QB Dak Prescott will throw 2 interceptions against the 49ers this week

The Niners have defeated the Cowboys twice in the playoffs since 2020.

The Dallas Cowboys will take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. The Niners have had the upper hand on the Cowboys in recent years, especially in the playoffs. Both these teams are Super Bowl contenders this season. The Cowboys have lost only once this season in four games, whereas the Niners are unbeaten through four weeks. Sunday Night Football is going to be a big one for both these teams.

ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith is not a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. So it’s not hard to guess which team he will be rooting for this Sunday. In the latest episode of his show First Take, Smith talked about this matchup as he feels like the Niners will expose the Dallas-based team. He also made a bold prediction regarding the Cowboys’ QB Dak Prescott on the show.

“We have been hearing a lot of noise about how there’s an adjustment, we ain’t just going to throw the ball. We gon run the football. We gon take the ball out of Dak Prescott’s hands to some degree.” Smith said. “We are gonna manage him a little bit better. Well, guess what? You don’t get to hide behind that this weekend.” He further continued by saying, “That brother gonna have to throw that football. He gon have to throw that football this weekend. I predict two interceptions and obviously one of them is going to be at a critical moment.”

Prescott led the league in interceptions last season with 15. Although he has started this season well, he threw a bad interception against the Arizona Cardinals in the Cowboys’ surprise week 3 loss. The Cowboys will hope to win the game on Sunday against the Niners. All Prescott has to do is not throw two interceptions for the Monday morning First Take show to be an epic one.

Dak Prescott livid at the mention of the San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers inflicted so much pain on the Dallas Cowboys in last season’s wild-card round that even a little mention of them upsets Cowboys QB Dak Prescott. He was asked about that loss after the Cowboys’ win on Sunday against the New England Patriots. Prescott was visibly livid by the question.

“I mean, it’s obvious. We’re so far past that, to be honest with you, but that’s obvious,” he said when asked about how he felt after the Niners’ loss in the wild-card round last season. “You just want to p*** me off going into this week, and I appreciate that. I do, actually. I do. Appreciate that. Appreciate that.”

The Cowboys have lost both of their recent playoff games against the Niners. They will now face off against each other on Sunday Night Football this week. Prescott and the Cowboys will hope to get their revenge this week.
