Taylor Swift disses Aston Martin in The Tortured Poets Department after Fernando Alonso rumors last year before dating Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift might’ve taken a dig at Fernando Alonso in her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Taylor Swift has released her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. As the album was released, fans couldn’t stop but wonder what the lyrics from the song ‘Imgonnagetyouback’ meant. A subtle yet not-so-subtle reference to Aston Martin has given a way to revive the old speculations of Taylor Swift and Fernando Alonso dating rumors.

Last season, there were speculations that the pop icon was dating Fernando Alonso in and outside of the Formula 1 paddock. Taylor Swift is known to be a mastermind when it comes to using references to people in her lyrics. Admirers believe that this definitely is a reference to her speculated relationship. As the song mentions Swift calls herself an Aston Martin which her lover drove into a ditch and ran away.

Small talk, big walk, act like I don't care what you did
I'm an Aston Martin that you steered straight into the ditch
Then ran and hid.

Lyrics from Taylor Swifts song imgonnagetyouback

The listeners had a mixed reaction to it as they take their time to process the whole album. While the others are poking fun at her current boyfriend, Travis Kelce who owns part of the Alpine F1 team. While Fernando Alonso still hasn’t given any reaction to the same, it would be interesting to hear from the muse himself about what he thinks about a particular tortured poet and her reference.

Aston Martin team boss was worried about Fernando Alonso’s contract extension

Fernando Alonso has previously mentioned that Formula 1 was getting exhausting for him due to his age. Aston Martin Team Principal Mike Krack was worried that the Spaniard might not want to renew the contract and choose retirement instead. However, when he extended his contract relief flooded Krack’s heart.

While talking about the same he told the media, that when a driver dedicated almost your entire life to something there comes a point where they start to contemplate about life after. Alonso had admitted that F1 requires 100% commitment. This usually didn’t leave much space for personal life. However, Krack was happy to see Fernando Alonso choose the sport instead of his personal life for the time being.

Fernando was very clear when he joined that the calendar and the travel is draining a lot of energy, especially if you want to do things the way he does them... I had some concerns that he was going to say, 'No, I want to do something else in life', I was very happy to see that he loves F1 more than private life.

Fernando Alonso will continue racing for Aston Martin for the next two seasons. The Spanish driver might be inclined to a non-F1 role in the future. However, the 42-year-old remains adamant on winning his third F1 title in 2026 with Aston Martin and future power unit partner Honda.
