“This is the man people trust to lead a rebuild” – Jerry Jones scribbling doodles during media interview sparks WILD reactions on social media

A football fan even compared the doodle with Cowboys Super Bowl chances.

Jerry Jones, along with several officials of the Dallas Cowboys franchise, are in Orlando, Florida, planning their next moves for free agency. While speaking with the media, the Cowboys owner had a notepad with scribbles resting on his thigh as he answered questions about Dak Prescott.

Jones uttered once more that he has complete faith in the 30-year-old and is confident that he will be the one to lead the Cowboys to the Super Bowl.

I think there are a handful or more of quarterbacks playing who haven’t won a Super Bowl who will win a Super Bowl. Dak [Prescott] is one of them, [and] I’m firm there. He’s one of the ones who can.

Jones said, per David Moore of the Dallas Morning News

Even though Dak Prescott‘s future should be the pressing news from the piece, football fans zoomed in on something unrelated to the subject matter. Moore shared a snapshot of Jones sitting on a chair with a notepad on which he had scribbled away with a pen. Check out how the netizens reacted to this scribbling by the Cowboys owner:

Can Jerry Jones protect Dak Prescott from a ‘hip-drop’ tackle?

As a contact sport, football always draws intentional and unintentional tackles. While the defenders are allowed to charge in on the opposition players, they can’t dive in below their waistline. More often than not, it leaves players hurt. For that reason, coaches and fans alike are asking for the NFL to ban the ‘hip drop’ tackle. Jerry Jones is one of those voices.

You can coach that one. In my mind, that’s one of the easier deals. It reminds me a little of the horse collar. That’s needed. That’s very needed. It’s very obvious that it’s injurious.

Jones said, as per Yahoo Sports Jori Epstein

The abrupt nature of the tackle can even end a player’s career, and Jones wants to see the back of it. Meanwhile, the NFL Players Association opposed the move and made it clear that it doesn’t like the idea because it limits the defensive player’s tackle zone. Franchise owners will vote on it to decide its future.

Prescott has been on the end of a few of these in the past. NFL journalist Brandon Loree shared a story involving the Cowboys quarterback tackled by the Detroit Lions’ DE Aiden Hutchinson. Although the challenge wasn’t too bad, it was miss-timed. Hutchison could have easily broken the 30-year-old’s ankle.
