Derrick Henry recently signed a 2-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens.
The Dallas Cowboys once again had a disappointing end to their season with an early playoff exit. Following their playoff loss, Jerry Jones claimed he would go all in during the 2024 off-season to strengthen their squad. However, Jones missed out on several star free agents, including the former Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry.
When every team was making moves left and right, Jerry Jones‘ Cowboys remained quiet after the legal tampering period started. Everyone expected the Cowboys to go after the star running back Derrick Henry. However, the RB ended up signing with the Baltimore Ravens.
And now, a report from NFL Network suggests, Henry was out of Jones’ price range for a running back. Henry signed a two-year $16 million deal with the Ravens, which can be worth up to $20 million with incentives. So, many started questioning Jones’ ‘All in’ motto if he couldn’t even spend $16 million on a star player like Henry.
The Cowboys lost their starting RB Tony Pollard in free agency as he signed a three-year deal with the Tennessee Titans. Now, the Dallas-based football team doesn’t have a starting RB. Due to Jones’ hesitation to pay RBs, now the Cowboys might have to settle for a tier 2 RB. All the star running backs that were available in the market either signed a new deal with the other teams or were traded.
Besides, it’s not just about the Henry deal. The Cowboys are one of the only teams in the league that hasn’t signed an outside free agent so far. The only move they have made this off-season is re-signing their long snapper Trent Sieg. They still have a lot of needs to address, and they even have to make some moves inside their camp. But, Jones hasn’t done anything so far, which has enraged many Dallas fans.

Jones also missed out on some good value RBs like Aaron Jones and Joe Mixon. Now, they have to settle for whoever is left in the market, and the fans are not happy about it. Check out some of the reactions attached below.
So, despite shouting ‘All in’ for the last few weeks, Jones hasn’t made any major move to strengthen his roster yet. As a result, he is being criticized by many NFL fans and experts.
