Tom Brady firmly believes Christian McCaffrey is ‘definitely’ the MVP favorite over teammate Brock Purdy
Christian McCaffrey joined the San Francisco 49ers in the middle of last season.
The San Francisco 49ers have multiple players in the MVP race this season. Brock Purdy, their second-year quarterback, is one of the frontrunners to win the award as he has had a phenomenal season. Another Niner who has been balling throughout the year is RB Christian McCaffrey. The rusher has been a major part of the Niners success this season.
There are other candidates for the coveted award, but the Niners’ players have a great chance of winning the trophy as they have a record of 11-3 so far. The MVP award has historically been a quarterback’s prize. However, former NFL QB Tom Brady believes that McCaffrey should win the award over Purdy due to his contributions to the team’s success this season.
He is definitely in my mind the MVP favorite and according to his quarterback too, Brock Purdy, who says some amazing things about him. And I know you’ll say, because you’re a great team player, the Super Bowl is the only thing that really matters. With the offseason that the running backs have, do you kind of feel like an award like that would be pretty nice?

McCaffrey so far this season has rushed for 1,292 yards and has scored 13 rushing touchdowns. He has also caught 57 passes for 509 yards and 7 touchdowns. He and the Niners have won six straight games and will look to continue that streak on Monday against the Baltimore Ravens.
Brock Purdy also believes that Christian McCaffrey should win the league’s MVP award
The San Francisco 49ers’ quarterback Brock Purdy is one of the frontrunners to win the MVP award. He has a better chance of winning the award than his teammate and one of the best RBs this season, Christian McCaffrey. However, Purdy believes McCaffrey should win the award.
I think Christian should be MVP. I really do believe that. He does everything for us … and so in my eyes that’s an MVP.
Purdy said after the Niners’ recent win against the Arizona Cardinals.
The second-year signal-caller has had a fantastic season himself as he is second in the league in total passing yards. He also has a league best passer rating of 119 through 14 games.

The Nines will play the Baltimore Ravens in their next games. The Ravens have their own MVP candidate in QB Lamar Jackson and both these teams have a record of 11-3 so far. It will be a fascinating game next Monday.
