Should we call it baby fever? Are the faint sounds of wedding bells ringing?

It seems like it, but perhaps only on Travis Kelce’s side of the white picketed fence.

The possibility nevertheless has sent Taylor Swift fans into a tizzy, and it’s all because of a comment the Kansas City Chiefs player made during a recent episode of his podcast, “New Heights.”

During the March 20 episode, the Kelce brothers were chatting about NBA player Victor Wembanyama and jokingly comparing him to a lab-grown diamond.

“You can’t tell me that dude wasn’t made in a [expletive] lab over there in France,” his brother, retired NFL player Jason Kelce said, noting that Wembanyama is 7 feet, 4 inches tall. He also said the NBA player must have a “pituitary thing” due to his size.

“Lab-grown diamonds? That’s (a) lab-grown [expletive] NBA player,” Travis Kelce replied.

Jason Kelce mentioned that lab-grown humans must be next in the pipeline, and Travis Kelce added, “Can’t wait ‘til I [expletive] make one.”

Now, this is where Swifty fans went into a tailspin, because what’s he implying with this joke?

Does he mean he can’t wait to make a diamond or can’t wait to make a human with his global megastar girlfriend Taylor Swift?

Was the double entendre hinting at an upcoming engagement?

Jason Kelce, however, put an end to the whole speculation thing by immediately begging his brother to stop.

“Do not do this. Do not give any more conspiracy theorists anything else to latch onto, please,” he said.

But by this time, die-hard Swift fans were already agog. Fans took to TikTok and wasted no time getting their thoughts out there.

“Travis talking about a baby,” one user remarked. “Man is in love.”

“He knew that it would send us Swifties into a spiral,” another user commented.

“I think he meant that he can’t wait to make a human (baby). Still sweet but I don’t think he meant diamonds/engagement,” another suggested.

“He was talking diamonds and babies!!!” another wrote.

“Now, if you listen to ‘New Heights,’ you know that these two screw around like this a lot. This is not uncommon for these two brothers. But, I guess you never know,” TikTok user @playthehitslive said.

Either way, it’s exciting to think about.
