Travis Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift links up with ex-Cowboys QB Tony Romo in unexpected turn of events after AFC Championship Game

The Kansas City Chiefs have successfully retained the AFC Championship title after Sunday’s victory.

Things are going well in the Kansas City Chiefs camp. In the AFC Championship game, they had an authoritative on-the-road win over the #1-seeded Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs’ defense again dominated the game as they restricted Lamar Jackson and his team only to ten points. The win means the Chiefs retain the AFC Championship title and will look to defend the Super Bowl title.

Following the win, the Chiefs camp was celebrating and Taylor Swift had a moment with the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. Romo and Swift spotted each other in a gathering and had some exchange of words. Swift complimented Romo that he had been doing a great job. Romo, without any hesitance, said that Taylor was doing better.

Following this, Swift had an epic reply. The pop singer said,

We’re doing very different things, aren’t we? It’s a different skill set.

Romo earlier made some mistakes regarding the announcement of Taylor Swift’s name. The former quarterback called Swift as Kelce’s ‘wife’ while announcing a play during Chiefs matchup against Las Vegas Raiders this season. He made this mistake once and repeated it for the second time. Nevertheless, the commentator had immediately apologized for the slip of the tongue.

With Taylor Swift approaching Romo and complementing the latter, it seems that Swift did not take things personally. After the game against the Ravens, she was seen celebrating with her boyfriend Travis Kelce. The pop singer hugged and kissed Kelce as a part of the celebration.

The Chiefs managed to retain the AFC Championship

Despite all odds, the Chiefs showed their class in the late stage of the league. Patrick Mahomes‘ record in the postseason solidified further as he got past key challenges.

The Chiefs won against the Dolphins, the Bills, and lastly the Ravens in the postseason so far. The last two victories came on the road. They had playoff encounters on the road for the first time since Mahomes became their starter.

Speaking on the victory, the Chiefs DT Chris Jones threw light on how different this time the Super Bowl run has been for the Kansas-based team. He said:

It is not about the destination it is about the journey. You look at the journey that we had to take this year… We had to face the Miami, one of the highest-scoring offenses in the league. Going on to play against the Buffalo, another prolific offense with a heck of a quarterback like Josh Allen. Then we have come here to entertain Lamar. I think it is our journey that has prevailed us.

The Chiefs will be facing the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl LVIII on February 11. They will want to retain the Lombardi trophy for the second time in a row and be the first team since the New England Patriots, who won consecutive Super Bowls in the 2004 season.
