“Very Dak dependent team,” Colin Cowherd SMASHES SI’s opinion of Dak Prescott ‘under high pressure’ by comparing him with Vikings QB Kirk Cousins

Dak Prescott has been the face of the Cowboys for several years now. However, his performance has faltered each season.

Dak Prescott has been trusted with massive expectations due to the team he is playing for. The Cowboys have a great Super Bowl-winning legacy; however, recent seasons haven’t been kind to them.

Interestingly, Colin Cowherd from The Herd has a different thought altogether. He believes that the Cowboys are a ‘Dak-dependent team’ due to various reasons.

Colin Cowherd’s net worth is around $25 million and he pointed out that the Cowboys had many departures at the start of the offseason, including their offensive coordinator, Kellen Moore. This increases the pressure on Prescott, who has failed to perform in the playoffs.

On the other hand, Cowherd also believes that Prescott is always hyped up by the fans and is not half as good. He also compared the Cowboys QB to Vikings QB Kirk Cousins.

‘The pressure is really high for Dak Prescott to get over the hump in his career. This Cowboys team is a Dak-dependent team. Zeke is gone, Amari Cooper is gone, his offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is gone, and Tyrone Smith is almost gone,” Colin Cowherd stated on the Herd. “Dak has always been a more athletic Kirk Cousins. Is there huge pressure for Kirk Cousins to get over his hump. It’s ridiculous to expect Dak to get over the hump.”

The NFL analyst compared many metrics and stated that no one actually expects something from Cousins, and the same can be said for Dak Prescott.

While the Cowboys are pushing for a Super Bowl this season, many believe that’s just wishful thinking, and the Dallas-based team doesn’t have the team to pull that off.

The clock is ticking for Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott is a decent QB who has displayed many moments of magic during the NFL regular season. However, his playoff form is disastrous and he has never made it past the divisional round.

Last season, the Cowboys lost to the 49ers in the divisional round, putting an end to their Super Bowl hopes. NFL analyst Emmanuel Acho believes that time is ticking for Prescott and he desperately needs to perform.

The 29-year-old QB is in a precarious position and will need to perform to guarantee his place on the team next season. Acho also wants Prescott to not be the reason his team loses this year.

According to many analysts, the Cowboys are set for another disappointing season due to a lack of resources. Still, there is some hope left if Dak Prescott decides to take responsibility for his team and lead them further into the NFL divisional round.
