WATCH: Multiple Chiefs players gang up on a Ravens player and strike him in his face as things start to heat up before the AFC Championship Game

The Kansas City Chiefs are playing in their sixth consecutive AFC Championship game.

The AFC Championship game is upon us and tensions were riding sky-high before kick-off. It is a game between two of the best teams in the NFL with Patrick Mahomes on one side and Lamar Jackson on the other. The Kansas City Chiefs will play their sixth consecutive AFC title game, whereas the Baltimore Ravens will play their first AFC Championship game since 2013.

A high-stakes game between some of the most competitive athletes in the world is bound to cause fireworks. The world’s best football players got into a very immature altercation that culminated in Travis Kelce sort of throwing Justin Tucker‘s helmet to give Patrick Mahomes extra space to warm up. And if that’s not enough, there’s more pushing and shoving going on between some of each team’s lesser-known players.

Video from another altercation between Ravens cornerback Arthur Maulet and some Chiefs players who thought warmups should go differently was aired on NFL Today. Maulet appeared prepared to destroy the Chiefs while listening to inside linebacker Roquan Smith‘s pre-game remarks. This game certainly means a lot to both the teams and the emotions are running high early.

The winner of this game will take on the winner of the NFC Championship game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Detroit Lions later today. If the Chiefs win the game, they will play in their fourth Super Bowl in the last five years. A Ravens win, on the other hand, will see them play in the ultimate game for the first time since the 2012 season.

Taylor Swift arrives in Baltimore to support Travis Kelce and the Chiefs in their game against the Ravens

Ahead of the Chiefs’ AFC Championship game against the Ravens, Taylor Swift showed up at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on Sunday afternoon to cheer on boyfriend Travis Kelce and the team.
