WATCH: Odell Beckham Jr. smashes his helmet in frustration after finishing with 0 catches despite Ravens’ solid win over the Cardinals

On Sunday, the Ravens secured a solid victory against the struggling Arizona Cardinals.

The Baltimore Ravens added the veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to their squad in the off-season to a massive 1-year contract. He was expected to make a big difference in the Ravens squad but he hasn’t been playing at a high level so far which has resulted in the former Pro Bowl wide receiver getting frustrated with his role in Baltimore’s squad.

On Sunday, the Ravens, led by their dual-threat quarterback, Lamar Jackson went against the struggling Arizona Cardinals in their week 8 matchup. The Ravens put up a solid show and managed to secure a victory against the Cards, but Odell did not play any part in the victory. As a result, OBJ expressed his frustration on the sidelines.

With just a little more than 2 minutes left in the final quarter of the game, OBJ had zero receptions in the game. That led to a frustrated OBJ viciously slamming his helmet on the sidelines. The outburst came after he drew a pass interference call in the endzone. The PI call was a good thing for the Ravens, but OBJ seemingly wanted a touchdown pass instead of a PI. Check out the footage of the outburst below.

Nonetheless, the Ravens were up by 2 possessions when Beckham Jr. expressed his frustration on the sidelines which led to fans questioning his commitment to the team. OBJ ended the game with zero receptions and no scrimmage yards.

In the end, the Ravens won the matchup 24-31 and improved to 6-2 with that convincing victory. Next, the Baltimore-based football team will take on the Seattle Seahawks in their week 9 game on Sunday.

Odell Beckham Jr. has been a disappointment with the Ravens

The former Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. signed a massive 1-year deal worth up to $18 million with the Ravens back in the 2023 off-season. He was supposed to be a big weapon for Lamar Jackson, but he hasn’t shown up yet in the ongoing NFL season.

Through the first 8 weeks, Beckham Jr. has only caught 14 passes for 162 yards. Besides, the 30-year-old wideout is yet to catch a touchdown pass in purple threads. He has been a massive disappointment in Baltimore so far for the contract he signed.

Nonetheless, Beckham Jr. is a big game player and when the Ravens get to the postseason, OBJ would be a massive asset to the team. For now, the 3-time Pro Bowler is still looking to register his first touchdown with the Baltimore-based football team.
