“We have turned into a Super Bowl team!” Skip Bayless rides the Cowboys’ hype train after 45-10 victory over the Commanders

Bayless called out Cowboys haters saying that the Dallas is slowly becoming a Super Bowl team right before their eyes.

If there’s one individual who will always be rooting for the Dallas Cowboys, it’s Skip Bayless. Even when his favorite team is accused of winning against teams that don’t have a great record.

Since losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8, the Cowboys have put up a three-game win streak. Their latest victims were the Washington Commanders. Keeping the Thanksgiving tradition alive, the two sides met on Thursday night. This was their fifth meeting during the session, and the Cowboys have won every single time. Last night was no different for Dallas, as they blew out Washington 45-10.

Not only do the Cowboys now have a second active win record this season, but they are also 8-3 overall and are firm favorites to play post-season football. Skip Bayless, on the other hand, has thrown a curve ball that the ‘Americas Team’ is one of the favorites to reach the Super Bowl.

Moments after the game wrapped up in Arlington, the veteran sports analyst shared his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter). His target audience was the section of football fans who believe that the Dallas Cowboys only win against teams that are performing poorly this season. He wrote:

GO AHEAD, TRY TO DISMISS US AS JUST BEATING UP ON BAD TEAMS. NO, WE OBLITERATE WHATEVER TEAM HAS TO ENTER OUR HOUSE. WE HAVE TURNED INTO A SUPER BOWL TEAM, RIGHT BEFORE THE EYES THAT HATERS KEEP ROLLING AT US.

Skip Bayless needs to face the facts about the Dallas Cowboys winning this season

The Cowboys are flying. There are no two ways about it. Mike McCarthy’s side has a points differential of 161 (347-185). Yet a chunk of those have come against defenses that are below .500. The New York Jets (twice), the New England Patriots, the Los Angeles Rams, the New York Jets, and the Washington Commanders—combined, these teams have won just 25 and lost 59.

Barring the Arizona Cardinals game (16-28), the two teams that beat Dallas are the San Francisco 49ers (8-3) and the Philadelphia Eagles (9-1). So one might argue that the Cowboys can’t be legitimate Super Bowl contenders if they don’t beat a team that has a positive record.

That will not faze Skip Bayless one bit. He has already thrown in Dak Prescott‘s name for the MVP of the season. The two-time Pro Bowler is having one heck of a season. Prescott has thrown more than 300 yards in four of the last five games and secured 14 touchdowns.

Owner Jerry Jones is all aboard the Super Bowl hype train. After the Thanksgiving game, he said the Washington game was one of the best moments of his Cowboy life, and they are ready to take on any team.
