“Who the F cares?” Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel subtly dismisses Stephen A. Smith for undermining Tua Tagovailoa’s role in Miami

Tua Tagovailoa has been in the form of his life this season.

Mike McDaniel, the head coach of the Miami Dolphins, did not like his quarterback being criticized by Stephen A. Smith. He gives a damn to Smith’s ‘valuable’ opinion on Tua Tagovailoa, who has been in the form of his life. Addressing a media query, the Dolphins’ head coach (HC) even said, ‘Who the F cares?’ His indication was clear, “We don’t have the time to think about Stephen A. Smith and his opinion.”

The analyst took a silly jibe at the Dolphins’ quarterback a few days ago. In his show, ‘The First Take,’ the analyst downplayed the role of Tua Tagovailoa and his playmaking style. Despite being one of the finest playmakers this season, the analyst said that Tua does not do a lot for the Dolphins and just throws the ball for two yards.

I don’t know if y’all watch Miami enough. All of these passes ain’t for 19, 20, 30, 40 yards. You just got Tua dipping it for two yards to him, and he is taking it to the house,” the analyst added.

After the episode aired, the NFL world brutally slammed Smith for his silly take on Tua. Tagovailoa’s fans also criticized him for not analyzing Tua’s game properly. Now head coach McDaniel has made it clear that the Dolphins are really happy with the way Tua is playing and do not want to listen to what some analysts are claiming.

The Miami Dolphins have been running a riot this season. They are already 5-1 up and slowly marching on to the playoffs. They thrashed the Denver Broncos by a historic margin of 70-20 and had the chance of scoring the highest in the history of the league. However, they did not go for that.

Tua Tagovailoa’s role in the squad

Tua Tagovailoa is taking the central role in this Miami Dolphins side. He is making the play for them and is connecting with the team’s other members. In six games, the QB covered 1,876 yards and completed 140 of his 197 passes. He is playing with a completion rate of 71.1% and has registered 14 touchdowns. He has also been intercepted five times.

With a 74.6 QBR, Tua is ranked at the third. It is to be seen whether he wins the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award at the end of the season.
