Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have created a lot of buzz this year with their relationship. They have been linked with each other since the beginning of the season and the couple have made multiple public appearances together. The Eras Tour singer was recently spotted at the Kansas City Chiefs’ week 17 win against the Cincinnati Bengals as she was in the stands to support her boyfriend.

Kelce, too, attended Swift’s concert in Argentina during the Chiefs’ bye week. In a recent interview on the Chiefs’ TikTok, the superstar tight end was asked about the most famous contact in his phone. Kelce blushed after hearing the question and jokingly said:

The easy answer? You guys know the easy answer.

After the interviewer offered him an out by telling him that he didn’t have to provide the “easy answer,” the NFL player responded:

J.T., Justin Timberlake.

When asked if Timberlake would pick up if Kelce called him, the nine-time Pro-Bowler said:

No, not a chance. And I know you, and I appreciate you, Justin. But he’s a busy man, he’s a busy man.

The Chiefs and Miami Dolphins will play in the opening round of the playoffs on Saturday night at Arrowhead Stadium. Swift’s Eras Tour is scheduled to resume in Japan the following month. The couple celebrated the arrival of 2024 together after the Chiefs’ win over the Bengals.

Andy Reid revealed that it was Travis Kelce’s decision to sit out on Sunday

The Kansas City Chiefs booked their postseason ticket in week 17. So they had nothing to play for in their final regular season game on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. As a result of that, the Chiefs decided to rest their big guns, including QB Patrick Mahomes and TE Travis Kelce.

Kelce though, was expected to play the game as he needed only 16 yards for yet another 1,000 yards receiving season. However, HC Andy Reid revealed that it was Kelce’s decision to sit out on Sunday and not play the game.

Reid said about Kelce:

He is a humble, humble guy. All the players want him to play, but he just goes, ‘You know what? I don’t like the way it feels.’ He’s not into that. He chose not to play, and I completely understand it… Most guys would have gone out and probably done it, but he said, ‘I’ve got a lot of records on this one here; I’m not going to do it this way.

This is the first time Kelce has not reached the 1,000 yards mark since 2015. He holds the record for most consecutive seasons with 1,000 receiving yards by a tight end in NFL history. That streak was broken this year, but Kelce and the Chiefs have decided to focus on a Super Bowl defense, rather than personal glory.
