Brett Favre recently joined Fearless with Jason Whitlock podcast, where he shared his take.
Travis Kelce had a great time last Sunday as he helped the Kansas City Chiefs win the Super Bowl game against the San Francisco 49ers. However, one incident from the game, where he shoved his head coach Andy Reid made people question him. And now, the former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre shares his two cents about the incident.
During a recent episode of the Fearless with Jason Whitlock podcast, the 11-time Pro Bowl QB Brett Favre was asked about his opinion on Travis Kelce shoving Reid. Favre understood why Kelce got emotional.
The thing about a really good player like Travis Kelce, emotions play a big part of it, and sometimes they get the best of you. That’s what happened there.

However, Favre believes the Chiefs’ star tight end, Travis Kelce crossed the line by shoving one of the greatest head coaches in the league’s history on live television. Favre acknowledged Kelce’s apology but he still felt like the tight end shouldn’t have let his emotions get the best of him.
I don’t know the exact details of Travis’s reasons, but he apologized for it, and it just was the biggest stage in the football world, and he does that to arguably, maybe the greatest coach in history. You just can’t do that. He let his emotions get the best of him at that time.

The incident happened during the first half of the game after the Chiefs fumbled the ball near the doors of the endzone. Andy Reid had taken Travis Kelce out of the game during a crucial play inside the red zone, which eventually turned into a fumble recovered by the 49ers. After that fumble, the Niners scored 10 unanswered points.

Tom Brady had a different opinion about the Andy Reid-Travis Kelce incident
While Brett Favre believes Travis Kelce crossed the line by shoving his head coach Andy Reid, the 15-time Pro Bowl QB Tom Brady had a different opinion about it. Speaking in a recent episode of his ‘Let’s Go podcast’, Brady said he doesn’t mind seeing some of it.

Brady used similar experiences from his playing days to justify Kelce angrily yelling at Reid and shoving the 65-year-old head coach. The future Hall of Famer said he doesn’t mind seeing some family issues.

Nonetheless, the Chiefs tight end has apologized for his actions to Reid privately immediately after the game. It seems like the two have patched up their differences after winning the 4th Super Bowl in the franchise’s history.
