Admire the world’s largest swimming pool

The swimming pool at the San Alfonso del Mar resort (Chile) is on the list of the most impressive swimming pools in the world and has just been recognized by Guinness as the largest and deepest swimming pool in the world.

Crystal Lagoons swimming pool is located along the coast, 20 times larger than the Olympic standard pool, 6 times larger than the second largest swimming pool in the world, Lake Orthlieb in Casablanca – Morocco. The swimming pool is 1,013 m long, occupies an area of ​​8 hectares, and can hold 250,000 cubic meters of water. Not only that, the 35-meter depth of this lake also sets a world record.

This swimming pool opened in December 2006 after 5 years of construction with a cost of about 1.6 billion USD. Not only that, to make it work, each year investors have to spend a modest amount of maintenance money, about 3.2 million USD.
