A report from TMZ claimed that Tomb Raider star Angelina Jolie is “fed up” with her ex-husband’s alcohol and weed consumption which was already affecting their children. However, a source close to Brad Pitt disputed this statement and said:

“He’s a loving and devoted father who has never and would never put his children in any dangerous situation.”

Pitt’s addiction to marijuana has been attested and corroborated by his fellows from the film industry. Quentin Tarantino once told Jimmy Kimmel that the actor offered him some weeds during a private meeting for the film Inglorious Basterds at Pitt’s house in France. The veteran director said:

“We’re poppin’ rosé and he’s got this really cool Pink Floyd kind of rosé. We’re knocking it back, and then a smoking apparatus of some sort found its way on the table. It was like a soda pop can, red with a little silver stripe.”

In another interview with Parade, the Ocean’s Eleven star opened up about his marijuana consumption while he was married to Murder Mystery actress Jennifer Aniston. Pitt shared:

“I spent the ‘90s trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony. I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic. It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself.”

The actor also admitted that his marriage had something to do with his addiction.

However, the World War Z star confessed in another conversation that he had been smoking cannabis when he was still a student. He told Esquire:

“I’m two credits short of graduating college [he studied journalism]. Two credits. All I had to do was write a paper. What kind of guy is that? That guy scares me — the guy who always leaves a little on his plate.”

Pitt claimed he tried to quit his addiction to marijuana and booze when he and Jolie had children.

Apparently, this was not the case as his dangerous habit allegedly became one of the reasons why the Oscar-winning actress decided to end their marriage.

In a candid interview with Vogue, Angelina Jolie opened up about motherhood and how it changed her life for the better. According to the Salt actress, her children “saved” her:

“Having children saved me—and taught me to be in this world differently. I think, recently, I would’ve gone under in a much darker way had I not wanted to live for them.

They’re better than me because you want your children to be. Of course, I’m the mother, and hopefully that safe place for them and that stability.”

Jolie claimed that her decision to move away from Pitt was for the “well-being” of her family. The actress currently has sole custody of her children, while Pitt has been granted visitation rights.
