At present, Angelina Jolie is no doubt one of the biggest celebrities in the world. Starting from the mid-90s, she has starred in tons of films which have mostly been received well by both viewers and critics.
However, in the earlier years of her film career, things were seemingly not as great for her mental health as the actress revealed that at one point she suffered from mental distress that led her to contemplate suicide. Around the same time, she even decided to hire a hitman to finish it all for her instead, but it is clear that things ended up all good for her.
Angelina Jolie On Hiring a Hitman to Kill Her Who Ended Up Changing Her Mind Instead
Angelina Jolie
When Angelina Jolie started in the film industry she had only been a teenager and at such a young age she had already begun dealing with suicidal thoughts. The actress opened up about this phase of her life in a 2003 interview. After thinking about attempting suicide by herself for a while she finally decided to hire a Hitman to do the job instead. Jolie shared that it was fairly easy to hire one in New York City and so she did.
But the person turned out to be someone who ended up changing her mind about the whole situation. In the interview, she described the hired “hitman” as,
“He was a decent enough person and asked if I could think about it and call him again in two months.”
Seemingly her conversation with the man ultimately convinced her to give another shot at her life. Besides that, the film characters that she had played till then also helped her remain mentally strong when she hit a very low point.
