Talking about the intimate scene in the 2008 movie Changeling, Jolie’s co-star Jason Butler Harner shared how she smacked him hard during the shooting of their movie.

There were several romantic scenes were present in the titular film and so the lead actor of the movie Butler Harner came up with the idea for this scene which he only discussed with the film director Clint Eastwood. In a 2008 interview with MTV, the Kerry Washington in Scandal star spilled the details of the alleged incident. He said,

“I try to be selective with my improvising. Clint approved. He could see it happening and he said, do it and we’ll see what happens.”

Jason Butler Harner further shared that it was the movie’s climatic scene, and her character, Christine Collins, was supposed to be confronting his character.

The Changeling star explained,

“I had talked to her at the beginning of the day. We had a big scene, and we were supposed to be coming out of our corners, so it was a how do we do this?”

According to the actor, the unexpected and unscripted kissing sequences idea he suggested to the film director got his approval. They wanted to capture Jolie’s reaction and see if its fit well for the movie’s climax shot.

He said,

“She slapped me and she held me and she hit me and it was great. She totally went with it. She’s really smart. She’s beautiful, but she’s really smart, and she’s a great actress.”
