Anne Hathaway is a two-time Oscar winner and was born on November 12, 1982 in Brooklyn, New York, turning 40 years old this Saturday.
She is the daughter of lawyer Gerard Hathaway and stage actress Kate McCuley, and her film debut was played by “Mia Thermopolis” in “Princess Diaries”, a comedy of manners starring Julie Andrews.
Three years later, she made a sequel to the aforementioned film, then worked with Meryl Streep in “The Devil Wears Prada” as young Jane Austen in 2007.
In 2009, she starred in the romantic comedy “Bride Wars” with Kate Hudson and in 2010, she played the White Queen in “Alice in Wonderland”.
