Beyoncé and Kanye West were investigated for cheating music listening data on an online website invested by Jay-Z

The relationship between the three people is unknown, Beyoncé is Jay-Z’s wife and Kanye West is Jay-Z’s close friend, making the scandal serious.

The US music market continues to be entangled in a scandal when Tidal – one of the leading online music streaming systems – is suspected of cheating in streaming data. Among them, Beyoncé and Kanye West are two names that were “called out” for inaccurate data on their pages, so a surprisingly high amount of profit was sent to these artists’ accounts. Most notably, rapper Jay-Z is one of the people who invested in Tidal, Beyoncé is his wife, and Kanye West is Jay-Z’s close friend.

The two names put on the “cascade” are Beyoncé and Kanye West, relatives of investor Jay-Z.

This company has denied the above allegations. Norwegian authorities have conducted the initial steps of the investigation. At least four former Tidal employees were tried in court and faced 25 hours of questioning.

Regarding some of Kanye and Bey’s statistics on Tidal, Kanye’s album was exclusively available online for the first 6 weeks of release, similar to Beyoncé. It is rumored that Kanye’s album ” The Life Of Pablo”  was streamed 250 million times in the first 10 days in February 2016 while he only had 3 million followers on the site, meaning that each follower listened to it about 8 times a day, a number that’s not really reasonable.

And Bey’s album “Lemonade” reached 306 million streams in the first 15 days. These seemingly “wrong” figures have caused the authorities to “touch the neck” of the music site.

Tidal is an online music application created with the purpose of paying artists royalties in the best way, after Apple Music and Spotify were condemned for taking too much of an artist’s percentage.
