Beyoncé’s daughter is only 10 years old but makes everyone surprised by her ability to spend tens of thousands of dollars in a blink of an eye
At the end of October 2022, daughter Blue Ivy and her parents, rapper Jay-Z and singer Beyoncé, attended the Wearable Art Gala auction in Los Angeles, USA. What shocked many people was the amount of money she spent here.
Many times participated in art auctions
Blue Ivy offered $80,000 for the sparkly Lorraine Schwartz earrings that her grandmother (and event co-founder), Tina Knowles, wore to the auction. However, Blue Ivy did not win this luxury jewelry. The pair of earrings belonged to Monique Rodriguez (founder of Mielle Organics) at a higher price – $105,000.
According to the auction’s press release, the proceeds go to a good cause, to support WACO Theater Center’s youth and arts mentoring programs.
In the video recording the moment Blue Ivy auctioned, viewers could hear people around saying, “She’s so rich.” On social networks, some people speculate that this is Blue Ivy’s lunch money.

This is not the first time Blue Ivy has offered a price at the auction. In 2019, she bid $19,000 for an acrylic painting of a young Sydney Poitier at the Wearable Art Gala. Initially, Beyoncé’s daughter bid at $17,000 for this work of art. But in the end Blue Ivy “bowed” to Tyler Perry, who won the painting for $20,000. At that time, Blue Ivy was only 6 years old.
Still, Blue Ivy didn’t leave the auction empty-handed that night. She went on to bid on the next item – a 36-by-36-inch work of art by Samuel Levi Jones made from Indiana law books and California medical texts. The girl won the prize with only 10,000 USD.
The auctioneer at that time, Star Jones, said that 6-year-old Blue Ivy not only had a passion for collecting but also nurtured a deep appreciation for art, all thanks to her parents. Blue Ivy’s grandmother is also partly responsible for her love of the arts, as she co-founded the WACO Theater Center, which organizes the annual auction.

As the daughter of a pair of top wealthy stars in the entertainment industry, Blue Ivy has privileges that many people dream of.
