Once known as one of the most celebrated couples in Hollywood, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s romance took a controversial turn after Jolie filed for a divorce in 2016.

The divorce proceedings revealed abuse allegations against the Fight Club actor that happened on a private flight in the presence of their children.

While they have since separated, the Hollywood stars continue to make headlines due to their ongoing legal battles.

She recently joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College, which is also the first historically Black sorority founded in 1908.

And she notably dropped her father’s surname during the sorority induction ceremony. In a short clip obtained by Essence, the 18-year-old Spellman undergraduate is introducing herself as Zahara Marley Jolie.

While nothing is confirmed as of yet, netizens are curiously discussing the reason why she did not use her father’s surname during the introduction.

Her jewelry line’s proceeds supported a Los Angeles-based organization, House of Ruth Shelters, that provides housing for battered women and children. Her mother praised Zahara Jolie Pitt, and called her “an extraordinary African woman.”
