Angelina Jolie doesn’t shy away from doing steamy scenes with her co-stars.

The actress is skilled at making any love scene appear exciting to the audience.

Actors who have had the opportunity to work with the 47-year-old actress and kiss on-screen have always stated that she is good at doing love-making scenes.

 But there was a time when Jolie was surprised by a kiss during a scene and slapped her co-star Jason Butler Harner.

Jason Butler Harner had an interesting improvisation plan in his mind which didn’t include Angelina Jolie while filming the drama mystery Changeling. 

Butler wanted to add a little more intensity to a scene that he was about to film with Jolie so he came up with an unscripted kiss.

Before moving ahead with the plan he decided to talk this through the director of the movie Clint Eastwood. So he explained his idea of an unplanned kiss to his director to which he said yes.

In an interview, The Green actor said,

“I try to be selective with my improvising. I talked to Angelina at the beginning of the day. We had a big scene, and we’re supposed to be coming out of our corners, so it was a ‘How do we do this?’ Clint approved of the kiss. He said he could see it happening and he said, ‘Do it and we’ll see what happens.’”

The unplanned kiss came as a shock to Jolie and she reacted with a slap for Harner. The Ozark actor said while explaining Jolie’s reaction,

“She slapped me and she held me and she hit me and it was great. She totally went with it. She’s really smart. She’s beautiful, but she’s really smart, and she’s a great actress.”

Harner got exactly what he wanted. He got the perfect reaction from the original Sin actress. Later, the actress was informed that it was a scene for improvisation and they purposely didn’t tell her.

Val Kilmer who was one of the co-stars of Jolie in the movie Alexander mentioned in his book that she is the best on-screen kisser.

Vilmer mentioned Jolie in his book and he wrote about how excited he was to kiss the Eternals actress. In his book I’m Your Huckleberry, Vilmer wrote, 

“I couldn’t wait to kiss Angie, buy her a Gulfstream jet, and have a V+J painted in rainbow glory on the tail. She had recently adopted her first child, Maddox, and the paparazzi were obsessed with this postmodern Madonna, the perfect picture of unapproachable stardom and impossibly chic maternal instinct.”

It was not just Kilmer who had great things to say about Kissing the Gia actress. Ethan Hawke, who kissed Jolie in the film Taking Lives, said she was the best on-screen kiss he had ever had.
