The relationship between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B has always been a curiosity for fans.

It is undisputed that Nicki Minaj and Cardi B are the two most famous female rappers at the moment. And although the two have never officially admitted to the conflict between them, they certainly have never denied it either.

Even though most neutral fans don’t want this feud to happen, it’s time to accept the fact that the two have been quite blatant about each other on a few occasions. Let’s look back at the “sunny mornings and rainy afternoons” relationship of Nicki Minaj and Cardi B below!

They refused to meet even if they rapped together in a song

In early December last year, the Migos group released “Motorsport” – a song with high expectations because of the presence of both rap queens at the moment. Fans around the world have been waiting with bated breath for the breakthrough moment of Nicki Minaj and Cardi B appearing together in this MV. Cardi B is engaged to member Offset and Nicki is good friends with Quavo, isn’t that a perfect opportunity? Of course not!

Both female rappers filmed their segments separately, making people wonder if Nicki and Cardi were rapping together in this song simply to make people less gossip about the conflict between the two.

After so many baseless rumors on social networks, Nicki herself took to Twitter to quell them: “At first it was just me and Quavo in that song, no one else. Then he called and asked. I wondered if we should get Cardi on, and I was like, “Okay, let’s do it.” End. Migos wasn’t even on this song originally. It was just Quavo. I’m so tired I’m tired of all these conspiracy theories. Relax. Breathe.”

Cardi B shared about feeling tired of people constantly creating hatred between the two: “It’s so annoying. I feel like people wouldn’t even be satisfied if Nicki and I… kissed each other.” no matter what. I feel like people just want to watch us fight, because for them it’s entertaining. People constantly and always talk about how we have to get along in this community . But those are also the people who want to see the few of us women against each other.”

Nicki also posted a response to Cardi’s interview: “Very accurate. We could kiss and for them that wouldn’t be enough.” The female rapper also quashed rumors about not knowing that Cardi also appeared in this song: “Imagine not knowing who is in the same song as me. Anything with my name in it must be approved by me. It will not be released without my hearing and approval.”

Cardi imitates Nicki in a video, and Nicki knows it!

Nicki is famous for using colorful wigs and her somewhat crazy and “outrageous” facial expressions. And fans were quick to point out that in the “No Limit” MV with G-Eazy, Cardi seemed to be heavily inspired by the “Anaconda” hitmaker .

Or, Cardi is outright mocking Nicki’s style. Either way, Nicki doesn’t seem too impressed with this whole thing. She quickly posted on Twitter the content: “I’m glad you all saw it” right after this MV was released.

Nicki mentions Offset in “Swish Swish”

Rapping in Katy Perry’s song insulting Taylor Swift, Nicki took to Instagram to promote this single with a caption mentioning the name of Cardi B’s boyfriend.

Everyone can see the tongue emoji next to Offset’s name, and we know Cardi can of course see it too!

The two publicly supported each other on social networks in the past…

…and this confuses fans even more.

To make the story more complicated, the two have publicly shown their affection and respect for each other in the past. When Cardi reached No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Nicki quickly congratulated her junior:

“Congratulations to my fellow New Yorkers on this record-breaking achievement. Bardi, this is the only thing that matters! Enjoy it!”

“Thank you! This really means a lot, especially coming from you!!”
