He documented his entire health journey on camera, including the moments leading up to his hospitalization, his diagnosis, and his road to recovery. He said,

“And, you know me, I always have to have a camera on. So, I would open up my phone, grab my camera I would talk to the camera, and I documented the entire health journey. And, because it’s such an important anniversary for me, and we’re all about health and wellness in 2022, I wanted to share my testimony with you.”

In the video, the actor talks about the day he woke up in the hospital with a bunch of doctors telling him he had kidney failure. He had been experiencing shortness of breath, excruciating pain on his right side, and swelling all over his body.

The video shows the television star struggle to come to terms with his illness and the drastic steps he took to change his lifestyle to manage his symptoms. Despite the challenges he faced, Cannon’s health journey has been a source of inspiration for many.

Nick Cannon Was Again Hospitalized With Deadly Pneumonia In 2022

The host was in the hospital again after coming down with pneumonia. The Masked Singer host, who also lived with lupus, shared images of himself via Instagram in a hospital bed wearing a face mask and a gown. He shared,

“Okay, so I guess I’m not Superman…I promised myself I would never be back at this place again. I learned a great lesson to take care of YOU or YOU won’t be able to take care of everyone else.”

Cannon had told his supporters about staying happy,

“Don’t trip though, I don’t need any good wishes or prayers, just some solid rest and I will be back on the journey to becoming stronger than ever.”

He had then let fans in on what was going on, writing, “It’s just pneumonia, nothing I can’t handle.” The crazy thing was, the night before, he had been rocking a sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden in front of thousands of fans, and then the next day he was all alone in a tiny hospital room.

His hospital stay had come while he was preparing to welcome his 12th child with Alyssa Scott, their second. The couple lost their son Zen to a brain tumor in December 2021 at 5 months old.

Nick Cannon has faced numerous challenges in his life, but his battle with lupus has been one of his toughest.
