Jay-Z and Beyoncé married in 2008, officially the most powerful couple in American showbiz. Both have remarkable careers with a huge number of awards, assets and achievements combined. 

They were also praised by Hollywood for their quiet, noiseless love story and for maintaining a long-term love relationship. However, that is probably just the surface embellished with the influence of the superstar couple. 

Because within the past week, the public has had to read a series of news about them. Starting with Beyoncé giving birth to twins and Jay-Z releasing his 13th album called 4:44. Critics perceive this musical product as a stage to re-enact Jayoncé’s family dramas.

The 47-year-old rapper apologizes to his wife for having an affair in the title song: “I made a promise, I cried and couldn’t keep it/ I’m bad at love and wish to be given a second chance”, lyrics 4 :44. 

Obviously, a talented producer like Jay-Z will not be able to release an album that only confesses or apologizes to someone. He returned after 4 years of absence with a very old topic that the media always wondered about: “Are Jay-Z and Beyoncé really happy?”.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s relationship is a powerful combination of two superstars: the husband is a rapper and producer and the wife is an r&b queen. But in 2006, Rihanna’s popularity, largely thanks to Jay-Z’s support, made Beyoncé unhappy. 

She released the single Ring the Alarm , said to be a message to her juniors. The MV content recreates a scene in the movie Basic Instinct (1992 ), where Beyoncé plays a woman who is both angry and sad because her lover betrayed her.

Of course, Beyoncé has never spoken out about the rumors of warning Rihanna. She still performs Ring the Alarm on big stages, ignores the spread of rumors and behaves classily with the position of a senior and a top star.

Music history recognizes the name Beyoncé largely thanks to her talent, but the media is where traces of this diva’s tricks are kept. She never did anything obvious, including… getting pregnant. 

In 2011, Beyoncé made a historic moment on the VMAs stage. She performed the song Love On Top with stunning high notes and ended the performance by throwing the microphone and rubbing her belly. 

The now 31-year-old female singer announced good news to the world: she is pregnant and preparing to become a mother soon. Therefore, despite the year of failure, Beyoncé’s name still leads Twitter, sells out her tour and sits at the pinnacle of her career.  

Why are so many artists pregnant but only Beyoncé has the power to inflame public opinion? The answer is very simple, because she has created a perfect cover of happiness, turning herself into the standard of feminism in Hollywood.

After giving birth to their first child in 2012, Beyoncé and her husband expressed their ambition to become a Hollywood star family. Not only did they include Blue Ivy in the songs in the usual way, they also considered her a true artist with her contribution… cry in the song Glory.

This is also considered a song featuring Jay-Z and one-month-old singer Blue Ivy with the stage name BIC, and is also the youngest artist to ever enter the Billboard chart . This seemingly joke story could happen in Hollywood, but on the condition that the one-month-old baby’s father and mother must be Jay-Z and Beyoncé.

At the end of 2013, Beyoncé returned. The female singer released her self-titled album without prior notice – an unprecedented case in the recording industry. Music lovers simultaneously praised Beyonce for being quiet, lacking tricks and still selling 828,000 albums in three days.

Accordingly, streaming will be an additional criterion to rank sales: every 10 odd songs downloaded will be counted as one album purchase. Along with the element of surprise that its owner brought, Beyoncé was the most shocking product that day with 1.2 million tweets on Twitter.

Also during this period, Beyoncé used her image to tell the story for the album. She talked about herself – a mother, a wife and a powerful star who can handle everything in life.

Throughout her 20-year singing career, the image Beyoncé has built has always been closely linked. The female singer started from a feminist manifesto ( Independent Woman) , to being single (Single Ladies ), to love ( Halo) , to motherhood ( Blue) and recently to being betrayed.

She returned with the album Lemonade last February, single-handedly exposing the cracks in the perfect marriage. “Go ahead and call Becky with the beautiful hair,” the line is repeated twice in the song Sorry. 

Lemonade competed fiercely with Adele’s 25 at this year’s Grammys. 

Until recently, Jay-Z confessed and confirmed the existence of a third character in the song Family Feud: ” Leave me alone, Becky”. In the song 4:44, he tells his wife: “Please pick up the phone” , in response to Beyoncé’s line in the song Sorry: ” I won’t pick up the phone”.

This “wife swings, husband kicks” drama is in its final chapters as Jay-Z releases his 13th album. But regardless of whether the audience realizes it or not, they’ve had a blast with it – if anyone still remember Solange’s fight with her brother-in-law in 2014.

The video was immediately posted online, in which Beyoncé appeared suspiciously calm. The female singer, as always, continued to stay silent, together with her husband organized the On the Run tour and earned 100 million USD.
