Jay-Z seems to still not be able to accept the fact that Beyoncé – his wife – lost the major award at this year’s Grammy.

At the 2023 Grammy Awards , Beyoncé lost the most important award for Album of the Year to Harry Styles. However, fans of “Queen Bee” are not satisfied and firmly believe that Renaissance is the album that should win, and the superstar’s husband – rapper Jay-Z himself also believes this.

In an interview with Tidal, Jay-Z shared how Beyoncé lost the Album of the Year award at the 2013 and 2016 Grammys and why he thinks Renaissance deserves the award this year .

“The truth is we grew up wanting to go to the Grammys, that was the goal. We just wanted them to do it right, that’s what we wanted. With Beyoncé, I feel like they missed that moment already,” music legend Jay-Z shared.

“Look at what this album [ Renaissance ] does to the culture, look at the energy that makes the world move,” Beyoncé’s husband continued, “They play her whole album in the club. I I don’t know if any album has ever done this. Everyone in the audience enjoyed and listened to every song. Everyone in the world was inspired by this album and that’s why it should be Album of the Year award”.

Although she did not win this prestigious award, the 41-year-old singer still made history at the awards ceremony by becoming the artist with the most Grammy awards of all time. Talking about the new feat of the Halo singer , host Trevor Noah did not hesitate to call her the greatest artist in history.
