“Kendall didn’t get involved with the legal ramifications of the lawsuit, she can’t discuss it, but she feels like her team did the right thing, paying back some of the money she got paid from the failed musical festival,” the insider told the publication about the model’s reaction to her settlement.

Kendall reportedly settled her lawsuit over the Fyre Festival disaster by agreeing to pay $90,000.

The 24-year-old model was allegedly paid $275,000 for a since-deleted Instagram post that promoted the failed music event.

Fyre Festival gained a lot of buzz in 2017 for its heavy advertising and bold promises of a luxury getaway with A-list entertainment.

The highly-anticipated spectacle, put on by hip-hop artist Ja Rule, garnered global media attention after it never actually came to life.

In August 2019, Kendall was sued by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New York – who has been recovering money for investors that lost money due to the festival.

In court documents obtained by TMZ, the lawsuit claimed that money constituted a fraudulent transfer as she was paid to promote something the organizers never pulled off.

The judge in the Keeping Up with the Kardashian star’s case has not yet signed off on the terms of the settlement, the outlet said.

Fyre Fest was co-founded by Billy McFarland, who was convicted in March 2018 of defrauding more than $27 million from investors through marketing and fake tickets.

He is currently serving a six year sentence in federal prison after pleading guilty to two counts of wire fraud.

Other stars involved in the court drama include model Emily Ratajkowski and rappers Migos, Pusha T and Lil Yachty.

The outlet also alleges that Model Management – which represents Emily – was paid $299,000 by Fyre Media.

Hip-hop stars Migos, Lil Yachty, and Rae Sremmurd’s reps, International Creative Management, were allegedly paid $350,000 for their promised show.

Rappers Pusha T, Desiigner and Tyga were also reportedly named in the document, which claimed their management Nue Agency was given $730,000 for their appearance.

The disastrous event first sparked worldwide media attention in April 2017 when fans infamously spent between $1,2000 up to $100,000 for what they thought would be a luxurious weekend of fun on the island of Great Exuma in The Bahamas.

Luxurious accommodations and extravagant meals were promised and A-list acts were set to take the stage.

However, as thousands flocked to the Caribbean island, they were met with utter chaos.

The glamorous villas turned out to be camping tents and the high class gourmet menu was replaced with cheese sandwiches distributed from the back of a truck.

Due to the scandal, many artists pulled out in the days leading up to the failed festival.

Many concert-goers were stranded on the island after not being able to catch a flight back home.
